But there is no more, right?
Peace.
So, can any of you that have watched it give some details about the relationship of the movie with the tv series and the manga?
have you seen the tv series? am i gonna be spoiling anything? i haven't read the manga.
It's set during mid-series I guess. Vash is already acquainted with Wolfwood, but wolfwood hasn't died yet (Also wolfwood has his second gun). Pretty sure it's just an original piece, with no relation to either the series or the manga besides the main cast of characters. Just think of it as a 90 minute stand alone ep.

what about the two manga chapters by the same name? is that what the movie is based on? should i read the manga first before watching the movie or it doesnt matter?
Just watched it, and it was quite fun. I had a deja vu kinda moment watching the movie, it seemed as if I had seen it before. Don't know if I read the manga counter part or if there was a portion in the tv series that resembled it, or if I'm simply imagining things.
Anyways, nice to see some more Trigun.
I'll have to check this out. It's unfortunate, though, I was always used to the dubbed version.

While we're still at it, is there some Original series in Bluray somewhere ?
No. Funimation planned to release the series on blu-ray in the fall of 2010, but it never happened. It was going to be an upscale anyway, since a HD mastering of the series doesn't exist.
Marik, why is the Trigun franchise not squeezed anymore for double dollars ?
I mean, there is a fanbase, there is room for this kind of anime.
Not bad. I kinda feel like Vash was more luck-driven in the movie than he's supposed to be. Generally in the Anime and Manga, Vash used his insane super-human skills to make himself merely seem very lucky.

I'm betting he intentionally moved just enough to block the bullet with the food thing. He just used it as an excuse to make a grand entrance while pretending not the wiser.
Peace.
