So is it only the motherboard/CPU/RAM/videocard that are submerged in the oil? Are the fans on the CPU/GPU running or removed, because they appear to be moving, but that could just be an effect of the air bubbles? I checked the youtube page but he didn't provide those details.

I see the HDD/CD and of course PSU are not submerged, as well as the power connector on the motherboard. I wonder why he has those two external fans hooked up?

For God will not permit that we shall know what is to come... those who by some sorcery or by some dream might come to pierce the veil that lies so darkly over all that is before them may serve by just that vision to cause that God should wrench the world from its heading and set it upon another course altogether and then where stands the sorcerer? Where the dreamer and his dream?

The fans/heatsinks seem counter-productive to me. Normally, in a water-cooled setup, the water is what's transferring the heat, so why have that bulky stuff get in the way? Plus, I imagine those fans will burn out in a matter of months considering how much denser oil/water is to air.

The thing is, I don't think the CPU fan is actually turning via electrical power. I think the air bubbles are causing it to rotate, but it's redundant as the mineral oil cooling makes a fan unnecessary.

Plus the setup isn't that quiet because of the PSU fan and the sound from the air pump. Still not sure why he has those external fans.
