No, but now I keep a few buckets in my arsenel because some guards just refuse to look away. xD
They weigh close to nothing too, so it's cool. I'm not sure if I want to swap over to kettles instead though. They're much heavier (especially when you have a lot of stolen goods on you), but they make a CLANG on the ground when the guard manages to dislodge it off his head, so you know when he's looking. (since some items are out of reach from a crouching position).

When I want to steal something, I lead the owner upstairs or around the corner, then run back and steal it before he returns. They'll follow you around their own place to keep an eye on you like they do at a Korean market.
