A 11min long video of several surveillance cameras following a drunk man around the store. He enters the store to buy a 6-pack and get out and it takes him 11min and he ends up going out without anything.

You should be particularly amazed at how they can hide all of the social, political, and economic dysfunction in their society with flashy dance routines and cute toys.

Well, since we are on the topic of Japan on a whole.....

I was expecting something more critical and damning. They really could use some critical analysis and change, but then they'd lose the weirdness/peculiarities that make Japan so charming to all the otaku and Japanophiles in the world. I wonder if that would be such a bad thing...
Some notes from the movie: they didn't include the large number of Japanese expats in the world, so 2/100 isn't accurate.
For the food waste remember that a lot of food is perishable, and being an island nation, it's particularly expensive and problematic to redistribute food that is not wanted/needed.
Lastly, the economy in Japan isn't as healthy as the author stated. A lot of turmoil/suicide/social problems are due to economic problems in the country.
