I'm diggin through the forums because I just finished this show. I didn't know a thread existed.
Well it is entertaining. Not the best animation/scenario around, but if you're interrested in the subject you'll have a nice time watching it.
I gues that show was created with the real olympic games in mind, and was a kind of pre-heating.
The real world interresting part is that ARAKAWA Shizuka won gold medal in figure skating on that february 23 2006, 4 days before the last message in this thread.... That was a total surprise for Japan for many reasons you'll be able to read in her bio.
I won't tell you how the anime ends, but it's interresting to point the differences, as the anime was finished 3 months before the real event... In fact I don't even know if the scenarist had a real world competitor in mind when creating Tasuza.
By the way, the arienai version is not available anymore as the group stopped activity this summer...
