I haven't seen them all, but you might want to check out Hundred Stories, Boogiepop Phantom, Serial Experiment Lain...

As for manga, this seems very similar to Death Note...

    Jigoku Shoujo

It really reminds me of Skyhigh the most. Hopefully it will break the formula soon though.

    1. Person is abused
    2. Person finds the site
    3. Thinks over going to hell, gets abused just a tiny bit more
    4. Makes the covenant.
    5. Abuser gets mentally tortured by Ai's attendants
    6. Dragged to hell, person ponders their fresh tattoo/seal and doomed fate, but feels better.

There were some more things involving Ai's grandma, who seemed creepy and omnious because we didn't see her. In Skyhigh, we got to see some of Izuko's (the guardian of the gate of grudges if you haven't read it) past, and Skyhigh~Karma puts her in an even bigger role. That is where I'd really like to see Jigoku Shoujo go. The short stories get old fast when they're all the same.

Ayu apparently lost their translator like a week ago for this project, I don't know their current status. I'll let you guys know as soon as I find out.

With this in mind, ASource released episode 1, so if Ayu continues to have problems in the near future, you can keep an eye for releases by this group...

This series repetition is seriously not doing it for me. As much as I love Mamiko Notos amazing voice and her portrayal as Ai Enma, the rest of the series is... just not cutting it. Maybe if we saw something more than the endless (and sometimes cheesy) punishment scenes, I'd be more enthusiastic about it... But it's just getting old.

    Still gonna watch tho

100 stories as the 12 kingdoms anime?

    Jigoku Shoujo: Hell Girl

No, there's an anime called Hundred Stories....

    http://www.animenewsnetwork.co...edia/anime.php?id=2765 <--- Anime-Kraze released it

Twelve Kingdoms is awesome though, one of my favorite animes all time, though they have nothing to do with the topic at hand...
