An interesting series. Now, after 11 eps, I might end up liking this more than Mai Hime (which wasn't a bad one, either).
Too bad I don't recognize / remember all the characters immediately, anymore, like so many of you do... I didn't even remember the tomboy, before I read LaZyKiD's post...

Just watched the last two eps and it was great to finally see Midori chan back in action. Ep 11 was interesting also, I wonder if Akira(tomboy) is posing as Mai's brother who really is the Prince.

Also poor Akane, it seems like suicide trying to fight one on one against Shizuru, I'm kinda hoping she wins so we can finally see Natsuki materialize but I don't see that happening till Mai comes back.

From the ep 12 preview, it looks like Akira is a girl again, the flattest girl possible.
How exactly was Nina able to materialize this ep anyways? I don't think anyone was around that could unleash her robe.

Maybe she was allowed to release it already. It seems Shizuru knew ahead of time about the situation. That would explain it.
DARN IT DARN IT DARN IT! I can't find a way to take a screen shot. But take a look at the LAST episode of Mai Hime. Around 23:34, when Mai, Mikoto and Natsuki walk away from the Academy after the director goes behind the doors. You not only see Arika from Mai Otome walk by, but she stops and looks at the camera for a breif second and then runs off again.
I'm beginning to think this isn't just a parrell universe to Mai Hime, but a future in the same universe, with these souls reincarnated. We know it's very far into the future, as they aren't even on Earth anymore, but their materialization is almost the same. As it stands, the "Carnival" in Mai Hime happens every thousand years or so (I think thats how long) it's possible it's all the same souls over and over again. Might be a little too deep in the soul stuff actually... and odds are it is just a different demension so to speak. But I'd love to see it all connect some how.
But yeah, Anty has a cameo in Mai Hime. Check it out! It's pretty obvious they had the story for Mai Otome ready at least by the end of Mai Hime.
Also, my friend showed interest in the Mai Hime anime because he read the manga, but said the episodes were much different. Anyone know where I can see the manga? I loved Mai Hime and would love to read the manga.

Whoa, didn't realize that Arika and Nina were in Mai Hime as well. Only correction I have to make is about Mikoto; she's not the cat, she was the dark spirit figure seen at the Harmonium.
Don't you get it? The cat can transform. Hence Mikoto's disappearence during the moment we saw Mikoto's shadowy figure. Also, why didn't they include Allyssya as the little birdie?
