Well, at first I wasn't so into this episode. Lone wolf journalist with burning passion blah blah. Father's unfinished mystery, yadda yadda.
But there were a couple really well done aspects that really made me enjoy this episode in the end. Lewis (the fat, dark skinned guy tailing the reporter), or rather, Lewis' van, were placed in alot of the shots. And then seeing him walk by in teh restaurant, walking out to his car through the window, and the next minute he's gone. That was reall sorta nifty. Also, Mao-sama is freaking badass. A little misguided, and doesn't seem to have great sense in men (Kai? come on...) but who the hell else steals 50Mil Yen from the Yakuza, even if they are your family?
Also, that reporter had sooo many cigarettes in his ashtray! Holy lung cancer Batman! His father and that one guy whose diary the Red Shield people are always referencing are going to be connected, mark my words. Yeah, it will be sorta a shame to get back to Saya and crew. I like David, Says and Riku. But Haji is way too cliche and Kai really annoys me most of the time...
Oh, and the new Cheveliar, James, seems to be pretty cool (and well connected). The brothers are really representing in this show! First Lewis, now this James baddie. Two dark skinned (i can't say for sure that Lewis is black, but I'm assuming so) guys in the same show! Its an anime milestone!
