Yes Ichogos power seems to be more than the hollow and the power he was born with. He gets stronger in an incredible speed. In some months he got stronger than many captains, who trained some 100 years for that. Moreover all of his friends can see hollows now. Chads and Inoues power have to do with Ichigo, too.
