the local tv finally finished with season 8. I'll try to get the episodes from the internet next season...

do they hate the viewers in endless hate, or are they just that bad at this thing?

they could have at least shown us the entire fight between clarck and jerkhead. they owe us after running away from dealing with brainac. and now my brother wants to beat me up, because the producers are too far away.

sig made by Itachi-y2k5, thanks, dude!
Currently Watching: probably a show directed at 9 years old girls, lets be honest.

You know the important distinction between Batman and me? Batman is fictional. In real life, there isn't always an alternative.

I don't understand it myself. Overall I thought it was a strong season. But, after a real promising first handful of episodes, the series deviated from what it was working... Clark as a newbie reporter and a lot of Lois.

Smallville returned with its new season last night. Overall a good episode I thought, though I thought it would've been better. Still on the fence on how this season will turn out, it could really go either way at the moment.

Brian Austin Green is on as mentioned already playing Metallo. Clark is finally learning how to really use his superpowers, still can't fly (though trying to learn). I like the Chloe and Clark conflict, particularly when Clark refuses to go and save Jimmy.

And Zod is back, being played by Callum Blue who you might remember from Dead Like Me. I really like him, though I don't know how I feel about him playing Zod at the moment.

So who's still watching? I don't know how I feel about it being on Friday nights... I hope the ratings don't suffer much.

Ya i watched it earlier today, good solid ep.
Sometimes i like the guy playing Zod, other times i don't... i kinda think they could have done better.

And yeah, good for Clark refusing to save Jimmy, cause it was Jimmy's death that triggered Clark real hero motivation, if he's saved, Clark might return to regular farmboy Clark again.

And how ridiculously hot was Lois when she ran to the phonebooth, all sweaty in her white tanktop and jeans.. good lord ;D

So watched this episode with zero expectations and it didn't disappoint, sadly it didn't impress me either. I like that Clark is separating himself from the humans because I think the focus on Clark and his relationships with Chloe, Lois, Lana, etc is one the things that was holding the series back but from Lois' memory of the future it doesn't seem that that is going to last too long.

What I really liked about this episode was Clark in black, that looked really good but that doesn't seem like it's going to last too long either, and the fact that Clark is finally trying to master his powers which also doesn't seem like it's going to last too long. Other than that this season doesn't seem like it's going to be any different from any of the previous seasons, especially since those two things I just mentioned along with everything else from this episode has been done before. So I'm not all too interested.

I'll follow it for as long as Brian Austin Green is there because I think him playing Metallo is cool, but I'm really not expecting much on that front because we've already seen Jensen Ackles from Supernatural as Jason Teague, and Sam Witwer as Doomsday and James Marsters as Brainac so this is just another attempt on their part to increase viewership by bringing in a popular actor to play the role of a major villain for a season or whatever. I really don't care for Callum Blue as Zod. Hell I don't even care that Zod and a bunch of Kryptonians are on Earth because that too, has been done before.

Smallville really just isn't much without Lex Luther.

yay, I'm joining the current discussion!

the zodd part took me by surprise, he says "Kneel before Zodd" and is then smacked by his men, priceless.

of course, later on, they shit on logic and common sense. "the last thing I remember is a blood check before the battle" and instead of following the normal tv logic and realizing that they're genetically engineered humans with the memories of kryptonian men. they decide it must mean that their home planet was destroyed. that's a kinda stupid conclusion to reach.

at first I thought that the time traveling was really stupid, but then I realized I wasn't thinking about it right. I expected both Tess and Louise/Lois to time travel to the same era, and it hasn't happen. however, I have a theory that Louise/Lois won at their fight.

Tess and Louise/Lois stood in front of each other, and started charging their battle auras and screaming, then they rushed towards each other and fists hit simultaneously, Louise/Lois was thrown back 3 weeks into the future (which is the current episode), but Tess was slammed about a year ago, back to time the Krypton army was alive.

    It makes absolutely no sense.

Again, Louise/Lois, why did it take her so long to figure out the guy wasn't a cop (or any officer of the law)? wasn't the kiss a dead giveaway? or is she just that used to being sexually assaulted?

and now, something that bugs me. Chloe was going mad because Louise/Lois was gone for three weeks. Tess is the manager of the largest, most influential company in the country (and the top newspaper), and nobody asked what happened to her during those three weeks? no stocks crash, no hostile take over, no "Our manager is gone!" headlines?

and last of all, Ninja girl. that's like any other season of Smallvile. somebody shows up, and right before he dies, says something that can change everything. We're not falling for this again.

    edit: to below. yes. no.

Because she wasn't missing. Her subordinate knew where she was, and they can easily place a temp manager in the Daily Planet and make some excuse about her being in vacation or some crap. This is definitely not the only time she has been away from the company for a stretch of time to deal with some other shady business.

It was a bit early for a halloween episode but it was alright, I'm seriously tired of watching Clark's relationships though. It was nice to see Oliver again, hopefully that means we'll get to see Arrow and the team back together sometime this season. I wish they would put this show back to Thursday, Friday at eight is just a horrible time slot and I'm not one to follow TV shows unless I can watch them when they're airing.

I stopped the episode every few minutes to makes snarky comments about it to my brother.
it was a good (even great) episode nonetheless.
too bad I used up the "there can only be one!" line when Tess killed the ghoul at the beginning, since it was perfect for the final scene of Zodd.

so, the entire town became ghouls. and nobody is going to talk about it next episode?
and also. countless other things that make no sense (how did they get liquid krypton in the middle of the zombie apocalypse?)

They all suffered from amnesia afterwards, as is mandatory in anything affecting large groups of people.

now they've gone and fell in love with the 'gloss lovey dovey' camera effect?

and they've copied "the mentalist" with the "use keywords to make the witness spill out what really happened" instead of, you know... using those interactions to show us what a good team Lois and Clark could be.

Also, they expect us to believe that a guy who designs mostly toys and explosives, somehow has the necessary knowledge in biology to attach a robotic heart (made from a substance he knows nothing about) to a living being. without a lab.

As usual, whenever Oliver's saying anything, you can just dub "I'm Batman" over it and it'll make far better sense.

Anger rising, expectations for next episode dropping.
(still better than last season, though)

    episode 05.
anger rising, I was expecting Oliver to start shouting "failed takeover! failed takeover!". but then things got worse...

really? this is what she came to from season 1?
Heck, I think clarck should burn down Jur-al 's house down for playing all that games with him. teach the old fart a lesson. but this busts the balls.

and still, I can't feel sorry for Oliver, that's what people get for being so damn stupid.

figures, the moment I start watching, the discussion dies.

episode six was aired yesterday. So now there's a girl with AIDS in super hero world? is this really the kind of knowledge I should be getting at my age?

and the whole "you sound like my mother on prom night" comment from Lois... well, I happen to remember that her mom died really early on. when she was around six years old.
Even if it's just a term of speech, I don't think that's what a person who lost his parent at a young age would say.

and so far, Tess seems better at fighting kryptos than Clark is.

I think that was just Lois being funny. And who's to say that she didn't have a step mom?

Nice to see that they finally kissed at the end though. Too bad something will happen next week to fuck that up.
