Just forget about that episode it ruined a great season.
The vigilante ep was meh. It was interesting to see Clark dealing with the loss and now im pretty sure that Jor-el is Lionel. How he talked too Martha proved that.

Yeah episode was a little gay, but I Jor-el only controlled Lionel when he wanted too. Plus the way he talks still reminds of me Lionel.
No one but the enemy will ever teach you how to destroy and conquer. Only the enemy shows you where you are weak. Only the enemy tells you when he is strong. And the rules of the game are what you can do to him and what you can stop him from doing to you. I am your enemy from now on. From now on, I am your teacher."

I didn't like the vigilante episode either... Was that vigilante created by this series, or does it allude to a super heroe that I don't know about?
the ep was ok, but the vigilante costume was gay. Also, what were her powers exactly, aside from super strength?
@Bud: im not quite sure but it mite be a referrence to huntress. I dunno about comics, but in the JLU animeted series she's shown as a rogue.
Well the vigilante sucked. But the thing that made this episode so great was the darkness that Clark showed. When he squeezed the guys throat i was like, "Yeah, choke that bitch!". But of course she destroyed everything.
Well on to this weeks episode. I don't like this whole "spirit" stuff. Stuff like aliens, mutants and other super powered people i don't have any problems with. But ghosts and spirits are just lame. And Clark should just break up with Lana and go with Chloe. Well for me this was a pretty sucky episode and i don't have to much to say about it.
lame ep...they need to stop using kryptonite for every fucking storyline
well this is what we get for giving Superman the gayest weakness in history
R.I.P Captain America.
Well, not a bad episode. Good to see them introduce another DC character. Loved how it ended. Lionel finally found out clark's secret, but it seems he's not the same lionel we know. I think he mite be Jor'el afterall....or atleast be aware of the whole jor'el incident.
Can't wait to see how this all turns out
Finally, Smallville returned tonight...
I thought it was a great episode, pretty hot.
Simone was quite the looker.
soo messed at first when he makes Lana see him with Simone.. poor Lana
She's plenty hot but she doesn't really fit the SuperGirl character. She's too mature looking, she looks like she's Clarks equal in terms of experience so either they'll write the character accurately and have her look awkwardly mature for someone that should be looking to Clark for guidance, or they'll make her his peer but really unrefined and rash, thus trampling the story a little bit more.
Why should she be looking for Clark for guidance? It depends on what you're talking about experience, she should know much more about the supernatural powers than Clark does just because of the fact that she was raised in Krypton. Now, if you're talking about day to day life experiences, especially now on Earth, then yeah. I don't mind she looking "mature", plenty of poeple in real life look older than they should, nothing for me to concern myself about.
Anyways, here are some more pictures:

I've forgotten much of my Superman lore but I remember that on Krypton Kryptonians didn't have any special powers...at least not naturally. Did the Kryptonians invent yellow-sun machines or something so they could artificially use the powers they'd get from being on planets with yellow suns?
soo...any thoughts on the season premier?
it felt kinda...incomplete. I dunno, i guess things just wrapped up a little too nicely, in too short a time. I wanted to see a bigger battle between clark and bizzarro. Atleast something more then just an uppercut. He should've atleast flew/jumped after him after the punch and beat him down some more, or like catapult him towards the sun in midair. that would've been kool to see.
Lana being alive is no surprise...but chloe on the other hand did sneak up on me. i was fully expecting her to stay dead. Its kind of a bitter sweet scenario. on the one hand her death which seemed like a big thing in the finale is just kinda 'meh' now. but on the other hand it indicates that her power is something more then just lifesaving tears, which i thought was totally gay. Lionel is also a mystery...or rather, lionels secret savior. I wonder who it was and where they took him.
Lastly, supergirl....i like her character, she looks good as supergirl. Im curious about how she suddenly appeared though. I dont know her comic book background, but i remember seeing a supergirl movie a looong time ago (like, late 80's, early 90's) where she also appears out of the ocean or something....apparently instead of clark who came from outer space, she was from something called 'inner space'. Im not sure if thats something they just made up for the movie, or if thats from the original comics. But seeing her in the water like that was interesting. And what's the deal with that bangle/arm bracelet she was looking at. I looked sorta like the thing wonder woman wears. Well, lets see how things develop this season.
Edit: oh and this scene was totally hot.

I suspect the bracelet was a keepsake from home (Krypton), I noticed she looked somewhat depressed as she was putting it on. I remember in Superman TAS and Justice League Unlimited a recurring theme with Supergirl was that since she grew up on Krypton she missed her old lifestyle since Earth was so primitive by comparison. The bracelet may even containing some technological properties like Jor-El's S symbol thing and the ship key.
As to the Bizzaro fight it was annoying that it ended so quickly, but it kept to the Smallville tradition that all plots left hanging in the season finale of a season are completely closed up by the following season premier, which then spawns new plots that will pop up over the course of that season. Zod, the Crystal of Knowledge, the second meteor shower, they all followed this formula.
Bizarro really couldn't have lasted. He was practically Clark and had he lasted it would've pretty much prevented him from becoming the reporter persona in the future and would've brought too much attention to himself and his powers.
Coming to the season, I thought that Supergirl would become a fun character and an instant ally to Clark, although bringing him a bit of trouble with his friends and the public. But from what I saw in the preview it seems that she might actually cause some real havoc, at least in the beginning. She seemed a bit cold and serious, so I wonder what's going through her mind.
A few things regarding ep 3.....first, since when did lana know about clark? I mean, i know she knew, but i remember clark ever telling her anyhting himself....how did she know that he was from krypton and stuff? Did clark spill his guts out last season and i just dont remember?
Secnod, that black guy working for Lex...isn't he the same dude that played one of Zod's soldiers a few seasons back? One of the 2 kryptonians that came to earth during the second meteor shower?
Also, it turns out theres another kryptonian out there, and he's been around for some time. Wonder who he/she could be. I can't recall anyone from the original superman storyline besides superman and supergirl who survived krypton's explosion. Any ideas from the more learned DC fans?
Lastly, i gotta say im loving the Lex storyline. His inner battle between good and evil, and the implication that him being evil could be a result of clark's secretive nature, its awesome. The smallville series has given his character alot of background and depth that no other series has even touched.
I'm pretty sure the Black Kryptonian was the same actor that played D.L on Heroes. Either him or someone who looks a lot like him. His name was Nam'Ek or some variant of that if you want to look it up. The guy working for lex is a lot less bulky.
As to Lana I don't think he told her everything either, but she might have put two and two together because she she saw the two Kryptonians wreaking havoc and his powers are similar.
And an offhand gripe I had, their attempts to make fights between Clark and meteor freaks seem dangerous are starting to get pathetic. It's always Clark shows up, meteor freak uses a cool but ineffective power, kryptonite magically appears, Clark gets screwed, Clark gets saved. I guess last season messed up my expectations because his opponents actually fought him on a level enough playing field to be interesting.
Ya, i couldn't agree more. I hate how the kryptonite is just fucking everywhere. It wont show up during day to day activities, but soon as a fight starts, theres a shit load of kryptonite hidden just inches beneath the ground. Its about time clark started slapping around these small fries.Originally Posted by Yukimura
