Looks at Lucifus list and wonders why awesome shows like Gungrave, Airmaster(for the fights),Mai Hime, Gunslinger Girl, Getbackers, and Kannaduki no Miko aren't on there. Ok so I only watched the first two eps of Kannaduki no Miko but it looks interesting goes to watch ep3 before sleep.

Some comments on the lower-rated stuff:
Gungrave: It seems like lots of people here like this series. I watched it a while ago, and it didn't really click with me despite having many similarities to Berserk. I remember that the voicing of their names (Harry, Brandon) was especially annoying. Although name-butchering happens quite often in anime, this really was a bit much. I also have a tendency to favor medieval settings over futuristic ones, so guns were probably a turn-off for me.

Ichigo 100%: Awful translation to anime, but the manga series was heart-wrenching the first four times I (re-)read it. The ecchi content is really a turn-off - the story would've been much better without it.

Monster
I stopped following the series at episode 52. Monster is a good drama series, but it just kept going and going, and I lost interest.

One Piece: While I'm loving the One Piece manga (avatar and sigs and all...), its translation to anime really lacks something. I'm not sure what it is - whether it's fillers, pacing, or maturity level - but there've been times where I've lost interest in following the series so I can't rate it higher.

Shingetsutan Tsukihime: Similar to Gungrave for me - I watched it a few years ago, and it didn't leave much of an impression.

Well, thats a very long list. Bound to be some good series in there somewhere. And I seem to like the same types of series I do, though I really dislike FLCL.=P

Heh heh. I was actually thinking Dark Dragon's list looked realistic, as opposed to your unnaturally short one, Lucifus!

If I were to list here the anime I have seen, it would resemble that list, maybe with 15-20% of divergence. But going through them and adding scores would be too troublesome... Although I do have nearly all listed in an Access database, but not any ratings.

When I look at Augury's list, I can't help but wonder how different people can evaluate particular series so differently. But I suppose that's an integral part in the appreciation of art.

Edit:I checked Dark Dragon's list in Word, and it had ~133 titles. That's already more than I have watched, and below he tells he probably forgot many. I'm not sure if I have quite watched full 100 titles.

don't worry lol, my list is extremely long (i doubt that all of it on the list probably more i forgot about, will add at a later time)because i been watching anime for a long time, you can tell too, i don't think there that many people that has watch Doraemon and Captain Tsubasa if they has then kudos because both are great series, but eh Doraemon is probably only good because i seen it when i was like 5 year old (roughly 15 year ago).

mage, you should give Legend of Galactic Heroes a try... I think you'll like it since you seem to like "futuristic space-age" type of animes. Given, it's an old OVA series, but it's an amazing one at that.

Wow, this is a big series. 110 episodes, 52 "side-story" episodes, and three movies! I'll definitely watch this some time soon. Have you seen all of the main series/gaiden/movies?

No, I haven't finished watching it... I'm waiting for Central-Anime to finish releasing it, they've just released episode 79 yesterday or something. I'm currently at episode 64 or so.

no lol, i only remember about like 20, had to go back and look up the rest but i do remember if i like the series or not though.

Animes I really like? Well, there's a few I have in the back of my head.

Monster

Dark. Really fucking dark. This anime loves to get you thinking "oh gosh, everything will be okay now" only to then throw the most disgusting and deprived acts in your face. I love it. No, I REVEL in it. More stuff like this would be awesome.

Gundam SEED

Yeah, it had a lot of short-comings and there were things I would have liked to be.... different. But still, it's one of the most emotional animes I've watched to date. Bringing forth both joy, tears and sheer rage with equal flair. It had a seriously awesome character gallery too.

Basilisk: Kouga Ninpou Chou

Gore, awesome fights and no pointless filler. Tenzen remains one my favorite villains due to his unprecedented cruelty and affinity to rape characters who "deserves it." It's a must watch if you're interested in ninja animes at all.

Hunter X Hunter

Old but still much better than most shounen stuff out there. Gon is one the few protagonists who doesn't piss me off and Hisoka is simply awesome. Superb character gallery both when it comes to protagonists and antagonists.

Berserk

Probably recommended at least a hundred times so I won't bother summing it up. A must watch.

Ragnarok The Animation

Yeah, I know a lot of people HATE it. I however, LOVE it. Why? ZEPHYRUS ( click and behold )! Best and most fucking believable character ever to grace an anime. Bar none. The premise of an XP farmer gone absolutely batshit insane is just too awesome. Plus, I can relate to his casting issues as a fellow mage.

I can't say I care much for the rest of the characters ( hell, I don't even recall most of their names! ) but Zephyrus alone makes this one of my favorite animes. The way he exited the anime was the best way I've seen for a villain thus far.

In short and with plenty of blatant adoration; GO ZEPHYRUS!11!1!
