    Fullmetal Alchemist

    Hey,

    Ive been looking to watch a new anime and I havent been able to decide which one. Alot of people have recommended FMA, but ive put off watching it because i thought the plot sounded a bit lame.

    My questions are

    1. Is it good? Is it mostly action or drama? (I know this is very subjective, my favourite anime so far have been Bebop, Evangelion and Hokuto no Ken, to give you an idea of the type of stuff i like)

    2. Who did the best Fansub? I know Kick-Ass-Anime did a sub of it but i have never downloaded any of their releases so i dont know if they are good or not.

    yeah it's very much worth it...

    good action, pretty good plot... of course some drama... some comedy also... it has a bit of everything, except romance (some small hinted things)

    anbu-keep and then spoon were the best subs out there in my opinion,

    as for kickassanime i'm pretty sure they are using their script, so maybe you could check their version out, plus theirs is from a dvd source...

    Judging by the ones you've already seen I would say you'll love it for all that it's worth

    As previously stated, it's got a bit of everything and pulls it off nicely in one hell of a rollercoaster of an anime.

    I need to rewatch it...

    Watching FMA should be on everybody's "to do list before dying".

    I watched AKeep-ANBU & Spoon subs and I thought they were pretty good.

    Very good show which actually has the full spectra of emotions in it. Violence, comedy, horror, action, colorfulness, darkness... seriously, it's a very admirable show.

    The best shonen i have seen cause it had a lot more than normal shonens. Darker,better story etc.

    I think this show is kinda overrated... it starts really well and peters out in the middle. There's a lot of episodes in which nothing at all got accomplished or wasn't that exciting... the characters are cool but the story loses steam, to me, as it unfolds.

    Scar is way cool though.

    Honestly, I was hoping for more action in this series. However, where the small bits of action fell, it was made up by the awesome story. Granted, a couple of side stories were not really linked to the main story, but it got the job done. Plus, with all the twists, the story just keeps you on the edge of your seat, and when something does get solved, it jumps right into another twist.

    Overall, WATCH THE DAMN SERIES!!
