I liked the episode. IMO fleshing out smaller characters makes the world of the series better, besides, Ogo-chan is cute
I enjoyed this OVA, especially all the gay scenes.
The best part about the OVA was that the ending animation was of Olga. I didn't notice it at first since I was expecting the old ending. It was still a funny ep plus I got to see a Margery cameo which made it all the better. Can't wait for the movie.

Yeah it took while for me to notice the altered ending animation too. It was very well done.
My understanding is that the movie is not a sequel but a remake of the first couple of episodes, this is disappointing. Hopefully they're planning a second season.

OH YEAH. I just love second seasons, and this year they just gave a seuel to everything, and most of them are series which I loved but was terribly disappointed with the ending, shana included. I hope its another 26 episode series, not just a 12 episode short one.

I just watched episode 18, and I've got to say I hate Yuji beyond belief. "Oh no, Yoshida found out I'm a torch! I have to explain, even though a Tomogara threatening many human lives is about to kill many people! Explaining to her about something she already knows about is MUCH MUCH more important. Obviously." Why is he such a douche.
having a second season is not surprising...does any of you read the novels of Shakugan no Shana? I'm reading the chinese version one, its up to book 8 now...bought all but just finished book 1...i think the story will go beyond the anime? Its pretty interesting too and the anime very much follows it, so go get it quickly!!! SnS novel highly recommended!!

Finally got around to watching the movie. The plot was mostly the same as the first arc of the anime but the execution was different (and more awesome...especially the ending). It also explained some of the events in the anime better than the anime did. I'd recommend anyone who has become bored with the second season watch the movie for a reminder of why they liked the first season so much.
Downhill as it is, a week without Shana is a very unenjoyable week. From what I heard, Tomogara are back in ep8. Hopes up here.
