My updated list:
*Note:Right now Naruto and Bleach would be on my list if it weren't for fillers
1.) Gash Bell - just watch it. You'll laugh so hard.
2.) Onepiece
3.) FMA the movie
4.) Prince of Tennis
5.) Im going to start either Blood+ or Eyeshield 21 soon.

I keep in touch with them and one of them talked me into DLing this one ('just try one, you thought Kyou Kara Maou was funny didn't you?,' she said)
Yaoi fangirls are a crazy pack and I know it's best to stay on their good side. So i watched and gave her my quite scathing critique on it while trying to make it through the longest 22 minute period of my life. The OP alone nearly killed me.
edit- And it would have been #1 but PP at least doesn't take itself seriously or try to be anything more than senseless shounen-ai fangirl fodder. In fact, it had a great quote somewhere in it that made me laugh out loud because it was perfect for describing that entire genre. Let me find it.
found it - The main character is explaining to the teacher that he doesn't think he'll be recieved well at his new (all boys) school, because he's a guy. To this the teacher responds, "Oh (whateverhisnameis), I think you'll find that common sense doesn't always apply here."
Perfect description of both the shounen-ai genre and a majority of its fans.

Humans are different from animals. We must die for a reason. Now is the time for us to regulate ourselves and reclaim our dignity. The one who holds endless potential and displays his strength and kindness to the world. Only mankind has God, a power that allows us to go above and beyond what we are now, a God that we call "possibility".
1) Karas
2) Blood+
3) Mushishi
4) Bleach (I'm waiting waiting oh waiting for the silly fillers to be over and the real action to start)
5) Gankutsuou (still in the process of downloading)
Crazy yaoi fangirls watching Gundam & Escaflowne???
Hmmm somehow that doesn't quite sound right to me.
I thought crazy yaoi fangirls watch... crazy yaoi anime. =_=
In no particular order:
1. Eureka 7: great series, very entertaining, love the characters, and even the US dub isn't that bad.
2. Aria -the Natural-: The continuation of an excellent series, I look forward to these every week. Very relaxing and well worth the watch.
3. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya: Without a doubt, the single greatest series this season. A must watch for everyone.
4. School Rumble 2nd Semester: Another series I look forward to quite a bit. There's basically nothing wrong with this series.
5. Black Lagoon: I'm a fan of the manga, and I love the cast. Right now, this is probably the one I look forward to the most.
Also watching: Blood+, F/SN, High School Girls, Himawari, Kage Kara Mamoru, Kamichu!, Karin, Kashimashi ~girl meets girl~, Lemon Angel Project, Magikano, NANA, Ouran High School Host Club, RAY, Today in Class 5-2, Utawarerumono, and xxxHolic.
Series I'm considering dropping:
TOKKO: Really disappointed in the raw quality of the first eps. If the quality doesn't improve I won't continue, no matter how much I like the series.
ERGO PROXY: I really liked the beginning of this series, and the animation is great, but the last few eps really felt lacking. It began to get a little too Wolf's Rain to me, too slow without anything happening. No character development, no action, just nothing. Unless I hear indications that the series is improving, I see no reason to continue this.
EDIT: Rewatched The Third - Aoi Hitomi no Shoujo, decided it's worth watching.

Yes, it's true.
In no particular order:
- Eureka 7. I often feel like a complete mecha n00b, because I haven't watched any of the Gundam series. Maybe I'm just avoiding the archetype and skirting the center by watching series like Eureka and FMP...
- ARIA - The Natural I have previously tried to express in words why I like this series, but it's very hard. Maybe the feeling I get by watching this series is like that experienced when finally getting back to the warmth of indoors after spending hours in freezing winter coldness outdoors.
- Utawarerumono. Fantasy is my favorite field of fiction. This series surprised me with a mature main character, suble humour and calm code of conduct.
- School Rumble 2nd Term. This doesn't really need explanations.
- Fate Stay Night. I was wondering if it's this or Magikano I should add as the last of the 5, but I ended up with FSN. Since complich8 already wrote a novel on the subject, I don't really need to explain why I like FSN, and need a series like it.
Edit: Added "2nd Term" to School Rumble.

In no real order:
One Piece
Naruto
Bleach
Rurouni Kenshin (rewatching)
Fullmetal Alchemist (rewatching)
my top 5 would be:
1, School Rumble 2nd Semester (OUT OF QUESTION!! it funny, and has great action!!)
2, Eureka7 (oh damn it hard to rank SR and E7, tide in action, but SR has more humor, so.....)
3, Fate Stay Night (god i wanna see h scenes LOL, must buy the game!!)
4, Ouran High School Host Club (it looks like BL anime, but it funny, and i love boyish girl!!)
5, Blood+ (well out of all the kill-time animes i am watching, i expect the most from this, and it got good music blah blah blah~~)

My top 5 at the moment:
1. School Rumble: 2nd Term
The first 3 episodes already kick ass and are even better than the episodes in the 1st season.
2. The Malancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
It's crazy, funny, and wacky. A hyperactive and idiotic girl mixed with a nonhyperactive and sarcastic guy is plain awesome
3. Ah! My Goddess: Sorezore no Tsubasa
Just as great as the 1st season.
4. Ouran High School Host Club
Possibly bi and/or gay guys + tomboy = hilarious results
5. Fate/stay Night
Gotta have something to fill in the 5th spot. Watching other series, but this beats them all.
The new big 5
#5: Solty Rei, just finisehd a few days ago. Awesome series, good emotional content and sweet action
#4: Ouran HS Host Club: It's just funny...so so funny. when they found out Haruhi was a girl...priceless.
#3: Blood+ It's slipping as more and more boring episodes go by, but still stays in the top three becuse of its veteran status
#2: Fate Stay Night: I can't think of anything that doesn't make me happy in this series...maybe Archer's loss and there being no H scenes are what take it off the top spot.
#1: Melencholy of Haruhi Suzumiya; I love that ED so much it's unhealthy. Plus this shoe has so much potential gushing out of it I just have to get excited every time i see a new episode was released, this show just does it for me.
My current series:
5) - Vacant Place until fillers end in Naruto or Bleach.
4) - xxxHOLiC - Being a CLAMP fan I could not miss it. Too bad I keep noticing the changes.
3) - .hack//ROOTS - Again, .hack fan from the very start.
2) - Fate / Star Night - Great story, great animation. Saber owns me... errr
1) - Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu - Innovative series. Great animation. Amazing sarcasm. Great character. And like Yukimura, I like the ending so much its getting un-healthy.
Bleach and Naruto have completely dropped off my list due to fillers, as I'm not watching either. I have started watching some new stuff though:
1. Utawerurumo - Cool fantasy show, 'nuff said.
2. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - I heard a lot of good stuff about the first two episodes of this, and was not disappointed. Seriously funny and really interesting. It's crazy without being over-the-top. Edit: Like Yukimura said, the ED is really great what with the dancing and all.
3. School Rumble (first series) - I'm finally getting around to watching this; I'm glad there's a second series because I love this show. I hope things turn out ok for Harima
4. Eureka 7 - I'm watching this on Adult Swim. They are currently only on episode 2, but I like the show already. It does seem a tad cliche (a mix of shounen adventure AND giant mecha drama), but I really like Renton.
5. I'm also rewatching His and Her Circumstances (Kare Kano) - one of my favorite series ever.
I also wanted to check out Nana 'cause I'm somewhat interested in the shoujo genre. I think I'll wait to hear if it's any good though.
<@Terra> he told me this, "man actually meeting terra is so fucking big", and he started crying. Then he bought me hot dogs
Current 5 anime that I am watching:
1. One Piece!!!
2. Tokko (see masamuneehs comments, good stuff so far)
3. Bleach fillers (yes Bountos and all)
4. Blood + (just started watching it. Interesting plot so far)
5. -spot reserved for future Naruto 'non-fillers'-
Overall, aside from One Piece, I am in kinda an anime lull. Looking forward to the end of fillers (which looks like will be no time soon), and yet trying to find some new good shows.
Removed name of Arc for OP
Budweineken
edit: Why was Arc removed? Others above have stated different arcs (for both OP or other animes) and they weren't removed (re: Aeon). Spoiler? Thanks.
