Looking to fill the void left by GSD....any suggestions? I'm currently looking at Rahxephon (don't like it so far, to complicated)..
Was reading about Eureka Seven...may give it a go..

I'm not bothering with Naruto until they start the new arc...

Stick with Rahxephon, it gets really good and I was lost in the begining too. By the end, you'll have a much better picture of what is taking place...you'll probably want to go back and re-watch it to pic up all the missed story elements. However, if you are just looking for a mecha anime, Rahxephon can't really supplant GSD but IMO I think that overall it was beter than GSD in other catagories (i.e. character development and story). Also, if you are just looking to 'fill the void' many of the posts above have some good suggestions. Obviously, the reoccuring titles would be a good starting point (e.g. Blood + did afterall replace GSD's timeslot and One Piece has started to creep up my list). Good luck.

While I'm waiting for eps, I'm watching Cowboy Bebop. I thought it'd be good from what I've heard. I heard wrong apparently. It's ok, but it's more on the mediocre side. I need something else. Any recommendations? What's black cat? Everyone here is watching it, it seems.

I'm only watching Bleach and Naruto right now, though I'm thinking of dropping Naruto for the time being.

@V: too bad you're not enjoying Cowboy Bebop. What ep are you up to? I loved it when it came out because Spike was so friggin cool... and I appreciated the series a lot more after I watched all 26 eps. There's some serious character development in there that other anime series couldn't quite achieve.

Samurai Champloo is very good, so if you haven't checked it out you should. As for series. I am pretty new to One Piece, but I am definatley enjoying it (almost finished dl'ing all the episodes) and would recommend it. As for other series, I would definately read the above posts to get an idea of what peeps are watching. Black cat is pretty good so far (only 5 episodes, so my verdict still isn't in on it) and here's a short synopsis (from animenfo):

"There used to be a legendary assassin called Black Cat who had many people. He was supposed to be killed because he had betrayed the secret syndicate, Cronos. They hired Train to become a bounty hunter to kill him.
He runs after his ex-buddy, Creed, with Sven who has grasper eyes, Rins who is good at disguise, and bio-weapon Eve."

The first two were awesome. Noir very good OST and plot as for Serial Experiments Lain remind my bro's situation[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img] I would add also Planetes, Black Cat and Melody of Oblivion but the thread restricts "top 5 current" As for the GSD I don't know a buddy told me very disappointing compared with Gundam SEED. Of course if I don't see it with own eyes[img]i/expressions/rolleye.gif[/img] I won't excluded from my list.
