What do you mean by shorter? You can't tell how tall she is from those pictures. She looks quite small in the first picture.
I dropped the show after two or three eps, but I don't think that's bad cosplay at all.

I've only seen screenshots of Taiga, but I thought her mouth expression/makeup was really good. Less impressive if it was shopped, but still good.

I can't tell her height from the pictures at all but since she is most likely japanese, she is about 1,50 or 1,6 at max anyway.. which is short.
if I'm not mistaken the average japanese girl (17 years old) is ~1,58 or 1,53 or something like that

it looks like the lower jaw is pushed to the side or something (can't explain it) especially in the 2nd picture
The Byakuya cosplayer looks almost as arrogant as the real thing.
Byakuya isn't arrogant, he's.... confident >_>. But yeah that one looks pretty good.
Heh, good Byakuya cosplay. All she needs is pink cherry blossoms around her and she'll be almost like the real thing. Misa looks nice too.

I think it's mostly the cosplayer. You could drape her in burlap and she'd still be a babe.
