Gin is obviously a bad guy, but I'll bet he didn't kill Aizen either (though all the forensic evidence about Aizen's death makes Gin look like OJ Simpson)
It is very possible that Aizen may have been a baddie, but 't the Captain of the 4th Squad, the medical group, claimed that his body wasn't a fake! So unless she's in on it too, he's dead. Maybe someone did switch the letters?
My problem is it doesn't seem plausible to claim any Captain switched the letters... So we're back to square one!
Unless Hitsugaya really did do it... Gin might have been trying to warn Aizen....

In this episode I just realized Aizen is still alive and their plan involves Hinamori and Hitsugaya. The thing Gin said while passing by Aizen sounds like so obvious. He wanted Hitsugaya to know. Otherwise he is VERY stupid. The letter its obviously either a fake or originally written with some purpose (Hinamori believes Hitsugaya did it). Looks like a plan is working. Gin is relaxed and that smile of his tells me everything is going smooth as silk.
If their purpose is to take the uber weapon, I dont know. The way things are going, they wont need it. Ichigo is slowly cleaning up.. LOL
Of course, this is just what I believe and I could be way wrong. Maybe the producers are pretty clever and know ppl like me will over-analyze situations like this one..LOL I've wondered, if Soul Society is blown to bits, what will happen with the whole Hollows thingy??

Does he have an osakan accent or something in Jap?

I know they always do it, and I like it, I just think they went over the top in this episode.

it sounds vaguely osakan to me... only b/c he ends alot of his sentences w/ "yaa" but he doesn't seem use the other endings that are common in an osakan dialect. so i'm not sure either. but the translation for gin in this ep was definitely a lot more looser compared to the others.
Thats is his accent. It is translated in the manga the exact same way.
I think I speak for at least 98% of the Bleach fans when I say that we don't care about Gin having accents. I want basic english in my subs kthxbye
In a way, it is somewhat annoying, but also, it just puts another perspective on how the Japanese speak. It's not always proper and polite and such, hehe.

I actually dig that accent thingy... It makes him much cooler that way.. It gives him personality. If he in fact has a japanese accent or zumthin then good job Lunar. If Lunar is making that shit up then boo for Lunar but still, It kinda fits his character nicely. Always playing it coo'
I enjoy Lunar's use of slang. I think it gives the characters style (epsecially Gin) - most of the time.
I'm just afraid they're doing what Terra said, and making Gin a hick. Pretty soon we'll hear him say: "Y'all come back now, ya hear?!?"
Thanks Honoko for the info. I don't speak jap so I can't pick up on the accents. I just know that translators usually use a Texan accent to represent Kansai-ben.

I love Gin's accent. I wish we could have more dialect translated properly by fansubbing groups. Would give alot of characters in various shows alot more personality IMO
