damnit I wanted to past Battle Royale before anyone but I was banned yesterday

Yea thats pretty much the only sub-titled japanese movie I've seend. I've also read a bunch of bits and pieces of the manga that is still being released in the U.S. The movie was great as is the manga, but the manga is FUCKED UP. So yea I wouldnt recommend it to anyone who cant take messed up shit.

The first Battle Royale is one of my more favorite Japanese movies. Avoid the second one as it is complete and utter crap. It is nothing like the first one.

Yes, I heard from my friend who collects the manga. What's it about exactly?

Suicide and death takes away all the good actors of the world, then leaves us with crap like J Lo and Hillary Duff.

They can't be that bad.

*Out of curiosity, Phoenix goes and watches 5 min of a movie on the Sci-Fi channel. He is now scarred for life.*

OK, they are.

ooo, forgot to mention Lone Wolf and Cub, based on the manga of course, which also kicks ass.
I've seen something on a TV series of this, but aren't sure if it's based on the same thing, maybe, I'm gunna try one of them, see if it is, because that would be awesome if it does.

it's Lone Wolf and Cub, not Samurai Assassin, people who use this name are dumb.

Don't think anyone's mentioned House of Fury. Recently watched it, and I thought it was pretty decent. It's a martial arts movie if your curious.

My Sassy girl is also one of my faviourites, and i still would watch it regardless of the number or times ive seen it already.
PLUS windstruck is the first part of My Sassy Girl, so i reccommend for you to watch it first before watching Sassy Girl. But the wierd part is that in Windstruck, the girl is already a cop, and in sassy girl, she is still a student. Its like going back in time... hahaha.... wierd, but still, if you can manage to ignore that, you'll enjoy the movie. However, Windstruck isnt as good as Sassy Girl, because it feels like Windstruck dragged on for 40 minutes.... jeeze.
Hmmm... what do you mean it's the first part? I don't think the movies have anything to do with each other. In My Sassy Girl the girl doesn't even have a name.

Windstruck (2004) was released after my sassy girl (2001) I have not wathced either yet so I am not sure of thier time line(in the movie) in relation to each other, or if they are even related. I have head good things about both but mostly for My Sassy Girl over Windstruck. I will be watching these when I get time.

Well, call them whatever you want, but now they know that the Samurai Assassin series (that isn't really a series, as it is only one movie with that title made out of the series) mentioned earlier is "the same" as the Lone Wolf and Cub series you mentioned.

And by now they have even realized that they should watch the Lone Wolf & Cub series.

This topic is a recommendation of asian movies. It benefits noone if there are double entries because people talk about the same movies with different names like they weren't mentioned before.

Yeah besides the ending of Windstruck, there's no real connection between the two. My Sassy Girl was based off of a guy's website, Windstruck didn't really happen.

Foo You should watch My Sassy Girl first, you'll probably like it more.
