Yeah my order was shipped on Friday as well. Hopefully I will see it around or after thanksgiving.

Just ordered mine off Play-Asia, it's coming with a bonus Pakkun controller case too. I'm probably not going to play it though until Christmas since nobody has really put up any translation guides yet. I'm pumped nevertheless.
Looks like other hidden characters include level 2 seal sasuke and level 2 kyubi naruto, as well as "awakened hinata" (ie. filler laser-from-hands hinata)
Don't get too excited about new specials.......all the characters from naruto 3 keep the same specials from before (a few graphical variations perhaps, and no more of that 1/4th health remaining requirement either) The 3 man specials are really sweet though. I especially like the sand ganin one and the gaara/lee combo one =)
Some of the new battlefields are really well made too.

Do any of you have the game yet? If so I got a bitch load of questions.
1. Did kabuto and kisame make the cut (they were missing from the third game)
2. Did kimmimaro make it in.
3. Do the genins have new specials seen in the manga (shikiamaru's neck bind, kibas inverted wolf thing etc) or are they virtually identical to the third game.
4. How many of the characters are new.
5. Have any of the old characters received any alterations or expanded move sets.
6. Are there any new gameplay mechanics? If so how do they work?
7. How many characters are there in total.
8. Is it worth buying if you already have access to the third game.
1. You can unlock them now
2. You can unlock him as well.
3. Nope, virtually identical. (A few differences, like you don't need 1/4th health to perform the second supers).
4. So far I count the sound 4, kimimaro, kabuto, kisame, lv2 seal sasuke, lv2 kyubi naruto, and "awakened hinata".....so 10 discovered (might be more)
5. The sand kids have their new outfits, and Gaara I think has some different dialogue now. Shikamaru has his vest. Sasuke doesn't have his forehead protector. Instead of back A being naruto's sexy-no-jutsu, he creates a kage bunshin that helps you fight (should've done that in the first place). I think they changed up a few combos and guard breaks too, haven't looked much into it though.
6. More emphasis on a "3 man cell" (3v3) mode. You can swap characters mid-combo or instead of kawarimi for sweet moves. You can also perform a team super move if everyone has full chakra (super move depends on who is in your team, you can have triple supers like naruto+sasuke+sakura, or double supers like lee+gaara). They also got rid of the shop system and opted for a here's-a-random-mission-to-possibly-earn-something system.
7. however many in the 3rd game + the 10 confirmed so far. I'll let you do the math.
8. In my opinion, it's only really worth it to ever go for the next release if you plan to sell your current release. That's what i've done with 1-3, and if you think of it that way, you're basically paying $10-20 for an upgrade.

i think im being stupid for asking this, so pardon me. This game is in Japanese right? and are they going to come out with American Naruto gamecube games?
Only in japanese.....
I'm sure they will eventually.....but who knows?

bump.....
So I guess everyone is skipping this version, huh?

If it makes you feel any better I got it. A bit disappointed thought since there were no major changes to the prexisting characters. I really wanted to see some of the new techniques developed during the sasuke chase arc exhibited in their specials. Really pissed me off to see that they were mostly the same. New characters are nice but I wish sound 4 didn't automatically start off in cursed seal level 2 mode and worked their way up to it (kinda like how lee opens up the gates but loses health to use primary lotus). 3 man cell has been greatly improved over the third game where it was put in as more of an afterthought. Kabuto is nice as well as kisame but honestly they should have been in the other game. Looking forward to unlocking kybui naruto and cursed seal sasuke level 2.
does the game have a function to switch over to english? (like ssbm has a fuction to switch to kanji or something) and where is the relatively cheapest place I can order it?
no....no it doesn't.

I played this today at my friend's place (she bought it so I haven't bothered yet)...
I think it's a nice upgrade to NGNT 3 - I was surprised to see they've done away with the money/purchasing system.
The fact that you constantly have to go back to the title screen and into the menu again repeatedly to unlock new missions is a bit weird. Don't know what they were thinking there. Seems too trial-and-error-ish to me.
The tag-team system seems to be working well, and the 3-person supers are pretty cool (well some of them anyway). It's nice that you can still also play 1v1 too, as well as the other modes.
Disappointing that the current characters haven't had their supers upgraded to meet the latest anime arcs. They had their costumes upgraded - why not go all the way?
Overall, as great as the previous 3 games - but because my friend has it I probably won't bother.
I think I know precisely what I mean
when I say it's a schpadoinkle day
I got this game about 2 weeks ago and went on a rampage unlocking the characters and missions.
But the point of this thread:
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/pres...se.php?id=1653
They are releasing a naruto game for xbox 360? Craziness. Release date is somewhere in 2007.
(sorry, I didn't want to make a whole new thread for this, and if this has been posted, sorry).
old news, and even though ubi is gonna make it, i think its gonna be a bit sucky for us sub viewers, since the game wont spoil, and it follows the english dub
So I'm pretty sure I've played this one before.
I got bored after unlocking everybody so I stopped playing this for a while. Then I picked it up again because it sparked my interest. I recently started playing against my friends, which turned out to be a lot more enjoyable playing against the computer (and it should anyway). So, I wanted to know who ever mains with. Does anyone else use the new cancelling system? Talk about some exciting matches and stuff.
