Why the heck was Kira having a nervous break down? He seemed claustrophobic in that cell. It also seemed like Kenpachi denounced his role as a captain he was no longer wearing the white over coat that the captains wear. Yachiru and Renji made this ep great. Since Renji's snake monkey was in the real world does that mean he can do Bankai if so then I'll get to see him again [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img].

I dont think he denounced his captian duty I think he is just hanging around with his top guys and resting and healing. Anyway I am glad as crap to see hes fine. I bet ichi and him have a rematch proball kenpachi will learn to use his soul slayer. Decent episode anyway and next one seems like flashbacks.
I doubt they are going to fight a second time during this arc. Kenpachi hasn't had any time to get any stronger, and if he did, whats he gonna do, fight Ichigo after Ichigo has his Bankai? Thats a one way ticket to another ass-kicking.
I think the opposite is going to happen, they already basically said that their team is gonna escort Inoue around now, so maybe they are actually gonna help. Nobody on that team seems to care for orders from higher ups anyway.
lol i think its hilarious that all the captains just do their own thing with no regard for rules or athority or anything. i wonder why they havent shown the first captain in any significant way yet?
anyway, i enjoy the little snippets of character development for everybody. i was glad to see good old chad again too, hes always so calm and collected.
anyway yeah, so we have renji breaking out of prison, and inoue palling around with the captians looking for ichigo. oh and kira is gong bonkers in his cell for no apparent reason. what is going on here? it seems kinda mish-mashed together at this point, hopefully later eps will clear this confusion up.
all-in-all, a good ep, i just wish i understood/remembered the circumstances that got everybody in their respective confusing places.
Kenpaachi and Ichigo won't fight again in this arc for one reason: Byakuya. They've been building him up as a rival (after renji) since eps 16, and now with Ichigo learning Ban Kai for the sole purpose of defeating other captains to save Rukia, a final confrontation with Byakuya is inevitable. It will probably be the climatic fight of the arc.
Kira's scene was particularly confusing. What did Capt. Gin call Kira when he turned on the lights? Was that his last name or something like that, I didn't recognize it...Originally posted by: Astronopolis

Renji broke out... wonder if HE'S going to end up freeing Ishida, Ganju (freaky appearance when Ishida first woke up, half-spooky totally-hilarious) and Chad? I can't see Inoue doing much to help them, and Ichigo can't rescue both Rukia and all of them? ....Why do I feel like he's going to do exactly that though?
I enjoyed some of the camera angles and the playing with light and shadows in this episode. Music was the same.
Ichigo's fight vs. Zangetsu reminds me of that part in the Berserk manga... in the Graveyard of Swords.... shiver....
Since all the deformed swords are "pieces" of Ichigo's soul can't he use any of them just as well as any other piece? I imagine its one of those confidence-in-yourself exercises. That no matter how bad things get and even if you're weakened and disarmed you fight with that last shred of will for all your worth. I imagine he'll figure this out next episode or in 47.
What was with that 4th Division guy? He was pretty damn annoying I thought.
And poor Hanatarou! What's going to happen to him? If I were his Captain I know I would probably have him put to death for treason...

b/c byakuya threw him in jail after he disobeyed orders and fought ichigo. and the 4th division gave him his sword well b/c they felt like it

Man, this episode was kind of what a REAL filler should be. It did nothing but recapture situations from the past. I watched Hell-Fansubs for the first time and I must say, it sucked. Lunar all the way! Didn't Lunar use to get it out a lot earlier?
Lunar usually releases 2-3 days after raw release, which is reasonable...then some other groups started making fast, half-assed subs, I don't really understand why. Who cares if you see the episodes every wednesday or every saturday? It's still once a week. I guess they just like doing it.
And this was a filler episode? I couldn't tell at all....it had actually good content that fit the plot perfectly. Seems that there will be side-stories for Kira, HInamori, and Renji now, to replace the guys that got jailed. Most impressive thing about Ichigo is the amount of blood in his body...He spills gallons of it in every freaking episode without recovering in between.

im assuming ichigo's bankai is just releasing zangetsu to the real world, that cool looking dude with the shades is the bankai itself
does anyone else agree? that makes the most sense, it seems that renji can almost do it too..
