I don't know how many of you have watched any of Gundam Evolve, but for anyone interested I thought I would mention that they have decided to make new episodes for it.

Can someone give a brief summary of what this is for those of us at work so I... I mean we don't go crazy about wondering what this is until we get home?

In 2001, Bandai premiered a series of animated shorts to accompany various model kits. These shorts all feature a starring Gundam from one of the various anime series in miniature side stories. In most of the shorts, the goal is to show a Gundam rendered in high quality CGI. The shorts feature work from several past Gundam directors, including original creator Yoshiyuki Tomino, Takashi Imanishi (Gundam 0083) and Yuuichi Abe (SD Gundam Force). Originally, five shorts were produced from 2001-2003. Although the fifth short was billed as the last, Bandai kick-started the Evolve series in late 2004 with new shorts. These new entries in the series further explore the Universal Century, but they also expand into the alternate universes of Gundam Wing and Gundam SEED. The Evolve shorts are not currently available in the U.S.

Wonderful! I really liked Evolve, especially the one with Amuro thinking about all he had done over the course of 0079 or something (can't recall exactly).

I think 5 spoiled me. This one had some ok action, but I find it lacking in certain areas.

Zero lost his twin buster rifle in this one - it is replaced by ordinary beam rifle. Why?
Seems like I'm not the only one disappointed by this. 5 was the best in my opinion too. Nothing else comes close.

I just randomly picked up episode 7 since gundam wing was the first anime that got me into the genre. yeah, it really wasn't anything special. So I hear ep.5 is where it's at huh? Well, I'll save that one for last and DL (and probably delete after watching) the other ones, then see 5, so I'm not spoiled.
