Good episode, can't wait for the sub, Cagalli does pretty well in a mobile suit compared to some other pilots, she's got huge titanium balls for facing off with Shinn at the end, this episode made me like Cagalli even more, she became assertive, took control, handled the situation like a leader, took action, did what she felt was right, man if I could only find a woman like that in real life...tsssk (not saying there aren't any but I haven't met one like that yet) overall, a very good episode, can't wait for SF and IJ to come in and end Zaft's little party

Good Episode?. Doubtful, kinda boring.

I hope Cagalli goes Seed as in the end of GS, she finally could give orders and started to behave like the Representative she is. ABOUT TIME!!!!!!!!!

Is it just me, or did u notice that Orb didnt defend when two aircrtaft entered its airpace and destroyed Yuna's house?.

Has anyone noticed that in the credits there was absolutely 0 new clips? Anyone worried that the next episode might be another clip show like PAST and FATES, because it sounds like this next one has an american name.

I haven't seen the episode itself yet, but having watched the first few minutes of the raw:

Edit: First, as for the frame, I am guessing they will remove it somehow. Or perhaps the episode will air as a re-run some time later (for example tomorrow?) and they'll use that version as raw instead. Maybe. Just guessing.

Now, for the episode itself: THAT WAS SOME GOOD SHIT!
Finally Cagalli is back to her more resolute self. Jona get owned badly (mwah hah!) and Cagalli's new image song (I'm assuming it's hers) is a lot better than Precious Rose (her last image song). Actually, it was awesome. Cagalli's voice actor probably earns half her salary for her crying, because she does that a lot (and for some reason her crying is a lot more moving than for example when Kira does it [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]). Akatsuki is one badass gundam, and I'm glad that Strike Rouge got ditched (that was a true abomination).

Yeah, great stuff. Can't wait for the sub. Does anyone else have the feeling that Kira will show up just in time to save Cagalli next week?

Also, the PS2 Gundam Seed game they made a commercial for near the end looks awesome. I want it!

Finally, I like how everybody is like "this episode was so-so" yet a million more things happened here than in ep 39. All of you need to get off Kira's cock, because you need to understand that Seed is about more than him and his overpowered mobile suits.

Yeah, i got the feeling Kira will save Cagalli at the last second. I wonder why i think that, any ideas?.

I didnt like the episode because it was so much talk, and the action i felt it rushed. Only thing that was worth the dl is when Jona gets punched by the now happy Orb Official.

Episode 39 served to introduce Strike Freedom.
Episode 40 served to introduce Akatsuki.

The only difference is that ep 40 brought down ORB, while ep 39 did... just about nothing.

So yeah, I fail to see how the action in 40 felt rushed in comparison to 39.

For the most part this was a dialouge episode. In my opinion (since I don't know Japanese) episodes that are dialouge based are always so-so until the sub comes out. 39 was much easier to understand with just pictures. Personally I will reserve judgement on it as an episode until I know what the heck they are saying.

Also, if 41 is a clip show, SOMEBODY HAS TO DIE, NOW!!!!!!!!!! They end 40 with Akatsuki attacking Destiny and now they want us to WAIT TWO WEEKS to continue. If they absolutely had to have a clip show couldn't they wait until the BATTLE WAS OVER???????

I don't think that coating will work vs melee beam weapons, so not quite invincible.

I have to agree that the action seemed rushed. It was all when everyone was talking over the radio, and there was no real fighting, it was skeet shooting. No clashing at all, no trick shots, and even Cagalli was taking out about 8 or 9 suits while talking with Bastard Yuuna.

ZAFT Grunts: 8
Independent Murasame: 4
Akatsuki: 9
Destiny: 4

And question, why is it that Shinn scratched his head like that? It's like it was hurting or itching really badly.

I just rewatched phase 40, and meyring looked cuter. Now she needs to sneak under athrun sheets, tho that will ban her from orb, and probably get her killed by Kira's Barbaric sister, lol.

EDIT: Those shields that destiny, legend, ij, sf, and akatsuki have dont reflect or protect against solid objects. Only beams.

As for episode i liked it i would like it more when sub will come out. and by the way who is the fastest sub group now as i was whatching cellphone as they were the fastests, so can you piont me toward site where i could the subs.

Actually, if you follow my kill count in episode 39, kira got like 18 kills that were seen, and Gaia and Strike took the rest to total 25. I think it was exaggerated for effect.
