prolly almost all anime is geared towards kids under 12 etc watever,, it just depends wat the kid/viewer sees in the anime, some might see a decent story, others just big explosions, u can argue about both, but in the end show serves its purpose by entertaining people
i think the storyline and how the gundams look makes a gundam a gundam

and yes i totally agree with u that in the end the show serves it's purpose, by entertaining people and making the producers rich off of the merchandises
