really? I've lost track of all time spans over a week long recently. I thought it had been like a month and a half or something. Guess I'll just wait and finish watching what I have.

[DigitalPanic] Zipang - 20
After quite a wait Zipang 20 is here. Poor timer, hopefully he's done with school now.

I guess this will be my last post in this thread. Zipang was licensed yesterday (6-12-05) by Geneon and I dropped by the digitalpanic site and it appears that they'll drop it but it's not overtly stated, they just mentioned supporting Geneon by buying DVD's. Anyway too bad, I was curious as to how it would play out.

Damn... Well, guess we will need to settle for the lower quality translations of the dvd rips (or buying). Such is life.
I wonder how long it will take before the DVDs appear, though.
Edit: Although, like you said, they didn't actually state anything. Unless they just left it unsaid thinking everybody knows what's gonna happen.

Seems that they finished it nonetheless. Great Day. Found it on Tokyotosho and the bots at the DP channel have it, too.

Ho... This is a jolly good news indeed. Thanks for the heads-up!
Episodes 21-26 Batch - Digital-Panic
Edit: A truly great series till the end. An end that came all too soon, though. While I generally have nothing against open, or rather semi-open, endings, this series had an ending with little conclusion. They stated at various points it's the crew's goal to get back to their own time, but the last few minutes of the show contradicted with that in my opinion.
It would be nice to know what the untranslated white text on black bg said... Still, considering this wasn't a current series in terms of airing, I suppose it's safe to assume this is all Zipang there will ever be. A real shame.

I have a question really... it seems that this is not the end of the series (by far)... So, if there isn't any anime continuation... is there a novel or a manga?

I just started watching this, on episode 13 currently, but seeing as it's only 26 episodes long and the manga is 27 volumes and ongoing, I wonder if you guys have heard anything about a continuation of the anime, or was the ending enough? Would appreciate a non-spoiler response for now so I can read the post without worrying.

The anime had no real end. You could say it ended in a way that wasn't terrible, that is, it didn't end in the middle of any battle or mission, but a second season would be technically more than possible. However, I'm not too sure a series like this ever got audience and publicity enough to warrant a second season. Seems like pretty marginal stuff. Too bad; it was an interesting and well made if not an original story.
Good thing is of course they didn't fabricate any fake ending just to finish the anime...
