I don't want to be picky, but that wouldn't be the case. Even a smaller battleship (say an old Queen Elizabeth-class or one of the Italian battleships) would be nigh-on invulnerable to a modern warship, let alone a monster like the Yamato. A modern anti-ship missile simply doesn't deliver enough energy to get through a foot or more of armour plate. I suppose you could torpedo the steering gear, but you wouldn't be able to get close enough before getting blown out of the water by the battleship's big guns. You could nuke it, or bomb it with aircraft, but missiles would have no effect....Originally posted by: Stoopider
Heheh. I think Aegis should win as they approach one another. They have tactical missle's which can take out Yamamoto from miles before coming close which are very very much more accurate than Yamamoto's giant cannons.Originally posted by: Crows_Kill
Aegis vs Yamato- who would win? Heh.....
Though close combat, if they ever could get that close, Aegis could be blown straight out of the water.
Back on-topic, I'll check this out. Sound like it could be interesting.
