    Rey's Gundam

I am almost certain that Rey will be piloting a new gundam for the latter of the series. But i am unsure of whether it is the impulse of something else. We see the Destiny, Impulse and Providence standing in the background with Rey , lunamaria shinn and athrun in the closing clip. Does this somehow signal the return of the providence to be piloted by Rey. It wud seem likely as they have already revealed a father-son like relationship between rey and rau

Well we know for sure that Shinn gets Destiny and Athrun gets Infinite Justice. The popular theory (and most likely) is that Lunamaria gets Impulse and Rey would the the "Providence Mk. II".

Well I haven't seen ANY name for it officially. I don't know what it is, but that is why I put quotes around the name, to indicate it wasn't official.

Natural meaning he not a Coordinator.

Extended is the term used by the EAF for their drugged up controlled pilots that are supposed to be equal to coordinators as MS pilots (most didn't survive the process).

Its not that most didn't survive the process. From the flashbacks and stuff it seemed like they went psycho and they were killing eachother off. With the last three "Aeul, Stellar, and Sting" being the only ones to have survived. Meaning they probably killed the others.

I was referring to all the bodies that were found in those tubes in the facility. Besides, when those 3 were killing the others was training, training is part of the process.

Freedom has wings for use in it's HiMAT (High Mobility Aerial Tactics) mode. Maybe useless in space, but it's what allows him to perform in such a manner on earth. If he didn't have it, he'd be just as manuverable as calamity on the ground >_>

    that's a false idea...
first...according to gundam's weight....they are only suppose to be able to jump...
no matter how powerful their thrusters are...
second...those wings only creat air resistent...which will actually make the unit unable to move fast in air...

so wings on gundams are useless apart from looking good and making the model sell at higher price

so what if you dont like wings on suits, why not keep this topic on topic instead of going off topic with every single post everyone posts?

the Legend gundam looks ugly but that model number is funny. i wonder if this thing will live longer than the providence did.

looks like it was designed after Destroy also in a way. Can't wait to see the DRAGOON system back in action!

I say that it doesn't last longer than Providence. The model number is a sign! A sign I say! Or maybe Rey deviates to the EA...

Well a form of the DRAGOON system is in action with the Destroy. It may not be DRAGOON itself, but it the same thing. Also Chaos does have an improved version of the DRAGOON system, though he hasn't used it much recently.

while you say improved. Its somewhat lacking in firepower compared to what a newtype is capable of using. I mean look at Mwu/Neo Mobile armors and then Rau with Providence. Alot more remotes. They just have a greater spatial awareness. And the system that Stellar is using in the Destroy. The Destroy actually stops moving while she uses the arms in their fly by. Its so massive luckily it can take the ground assault but thats a big weakness. Although the mobile fortress bit definately fits it.

I'm hoping for some nice battles coming up after Rey gets Legend. Its produced after Destiny and both of them are produced after the Infinite Justice and Strike Freedom if model numbers mean anything. However I suspect that those two units aren't from the ZAFT but are from the Clyne faction. We'll have to wait and see since the chairman seems to be keeping up with the weird jumping of model numbers.

Does Destroy acctually HAVE to stop when it lets it's arms loose? Or did it just happen too?

Some of the model number thing is because some units were produced (Destiny, Strike Freedom) before the Junius 7 treaty. As part of that treaty the use of Nuetron Jammer Cancellor's was banned so they couldn't put nuclear powered units into the field at the time. Obviously Dullindal will come up with some excuse soon.

Just thought i'd say that the model numbers don't nessecarily state which is produced before or after another.

    Impulse - ZGMF-X56S; ???
Savior - ZGMF-X23S; the 2 indicated it's dual modes, Gundam and Armour while the 3 is it's development code
    Chaos - ZGMF-X24S; ???
    Abyss - ZGMF-X31S; ???
Gaia - ZGMF-X88S; the first 8 indicates its ability to transform into a 4-legged MA.

All are supposedly produced at the same time, but barely share anything in common with their production numbers. The only real similarities are the X ans S, and we can assume that the X comes from the M5 production type 'Gundam' and the S... who the hell knows? Special?

    Rey's Gundam

In general the "X" mean "experimental model". For example, the X was used with the first 5 Gundams in SEED, but when they got to the Mass Produced models (the Dagger variations) they dropped the X.
