mmmmmm no, ur wrong there i think, the latest version of the Impreza, WRC spec C. has been tested a lot by the best Motoring crew, and it's won more then lost to the LanEvo.
LanEvo IX 400 horse edition MIGHT be better, but, i think the Impreza has alot left, especially in the 06 WRC edition.
only real competition to the Impreza 06 as i see it, might be the new Skyline, IF it's to be released with 4WD system..
Skyline GT-R35 is roumered to come in 07, and in FR edition only...that might be a killer...
but, my bet is on tuners like Blitz and Top secret, i bet they will throw in a RB26DETT and a OS Geiken 3.0 set, and the 4WD famous system the Skyline GT-R34 uses in the comming chassie....can't wait
wish i could understand what you guys are talking about
cars....u know...engine and 4 wheels....... (Takumi's best reply)
Rear wheel drive Skylines already exist in the US. They are called Infiniti G35s. The car you are referring to is the V35 Skyline which was scheduled for release in 2007, but has been pushed back to 2008 according to rumors. The cars official name in the US will be the Infiniti GT-R. Skyline and GT-R will become independant model designations in the future similar to how the Celica and Supra designations were separated by Toyota years ago. At this time, there is no real distinction, but down the line the Z-car development team will take over on the development of the Skyline and the current Skyline development team will be working on the GT-R. Eventually, Skylines and GT-Rs won't even be the same car model.
And yes, the GT-R will have AWD.
yeah i have no clue what they are saying -_-Originally posted by: Yondaime-

I personally don't think Takumi will change cars. When you think about it, it will degrade his reputation and the reputation of Project D. He is the ghost of Akina and he prides himself as that. It would also disappoint Bunta. Bunta's true plan is to try and stir up Takumi on the 4WD world. Bunta is not planning to give a car he just bought for himself. Takumi had to EARN the Hachi-Roku before he even got the car under his name.
And go back to the first stage, neh? The R32 driver (Nakazoto) SWITCHED to the R32 before he faced Takumi because of it's hightened ability. Even though it's not 4WD, what Bunta realizes is that changing a car is not going to win races, changing the driver is going to determine that. Bunta's skill is still unequaled and has much to teack Takumi.
It's not WHAT you drive, it's HOW you drive. That is a Street Racer's ideal rule. You can supe up a Skyline but if you can't clutch right, shift right, and Drift right (on downhill cases), then you're not worth shit, the car is.
Ryosuke would definitely also not approve the change. But I'm giving away too much.
The manga has been there for a year. Read an import, neh? I don't want to spoil anything, lol.
I think Bunta will take the 86 out for repairs or something sooner or later and leave the 8V laying there with the keys on the table just before the race. this would leave Takumi no other choice but to take the 8V
well... personally think that the series is getting more absurd... an old junkie 86 beating evos and other cars, it's impossible in real life! (yes i know this is anime ) i mean yes despite the TRD engine, a factory-made evo engine without modification can give up to what?, ~285bhp... how in the world can the 86 even keep up... in reality that is...
Simple, the other drivers suck.Originally posted by: urahara_rulez

Takeda Natsuke:
Be careful so you dont spoil it for us.....
Takumi is not gonna change now but he will have to soon enough. Cause there will be times he will meet people as good or better than him and who have better cars. Then it will be impossible to win with th 86. His oppenents right now are so much worse than him that it doesnt matter how old his car is.
But its long time left until then.
well, that's anime for you... let me quote you an example, in real life, i was on my friends benz s280, when a wrx 2.0 litre turbo comes along, on the same line before a traffic light, so decided to do some "drag racing"... the moment the lights went green, the wrx just zoomed off, despite me buddy flooring the accelerator, and me staring at the wrx's butt... that's the diff between a mercs and impreza... not to mention an old junk like the 86 vs evo... but anyway, any thing can happen in anime, so...Originally posted by: Hentai_Jeff

IoI... takumi won a pro driver in a better car than him!! you saying that a pro driver is much worse than takumi?? hmm... anyways, you're entitled to you own opinion... Originally posted by: Hakeem_21

obviously you haven't had a fill of your BMi videos Originally posted by: urahara_rulez

It's true that an 86 can't keep up on the straight away, however around corners the 86 is a beast. They actually had this in one BMi Touge showdown, a R34 Driven by Nobeteru Taniguchi got spanked by Keiichi Tsuchiya's 86, why? Simply cause the 86 had superb handling around the corners. But it doesn't stop there, later on a Spirit tune MR-S only sporting 190HP beat a 320whp S15 Silvia. So power isn't necessarily better
and that's also the differance between 1/4 mile racing and a racing style that actully takes real skill, and not just a car's power.Originally posted by: urahara_rulez

He was a driver who werent good in the streets i dont think Takumi would have a chance against him in a pro race. Also just cause he was a pro dont make him really good. I mean there are sucky pros like those are always last in F1 in real life Originally posted by: urahara_rulez

I guess you guys are forgetting that Takumi's a downhill racer, no? Power isn't the most import thing when downhill racing...
Ï didnt say anything about power.
What if someone better than him has a car that is as good or better in downhill.
