Actually this is incorrect the people in bleach still age just seamingly slower. Also they all need water to survive and it has been stated they can and do kill each other. The whole point in bleach is that there is a balance of souls between soul society and the universe the earth is in. When one dies in either place they end up in the other. When a deathgod kills a hollow it is reborn in soul society as a infant. However if your soul is actually sent by a death god you continue to live out your life until you die one way or another. Those who need to eat are the ones who use spirit energy specifically the death gods or those who train to become one.

Note the issue with a Quincy killing a hollow is that the soul is purified and instead of going to soul society it is reborn on earth and thus the birth rate is reduced in soul society.
