    RE: Crash

I just finished watching Crash. Such a great movie. Ring 2 on the other hands sucked big time. It was totally different from the Japanese version, which sucked as well.

Oh btw Block Buster is being sued so member gets a crapload of free movie rental coupons and other stuff.

Picked this up on DVD two weeks ago, but just saw it the other night, and - WOW.

The movie was great. The way everything came together and was addressed, while still based on the subject of racism and discrimination, was really well done. Definitely glad I picked this up.

Very upset I bothered with Hustle & Flow, though.

I don't hink crash was that great, It did a good job (like you said) of demonstrating racism... *gasp* its really hard to do in this country!... but I didn't like how the stories fit together, it was too contrived. If there was a way that they could bring together all the same central themes COHERENTLY, it would have been fantastic.
When man invented the bicycle he reached the peak of his attainments. Here was a machine of precision and balance for the convenience of man. And (unlike subsequent inventions for man's convenience) the more he used it, the fitter his body became. Here, for once, was a product of man's brain that was entirely beneficial to those who used it, and of no harm or irritation to others. Progress should have stopped when man invented the bicycle. ~Elizabeth West, Hovel in theHills

The way they brought everything together I thought was the best part.

I agree. I saw it a little while back with a friend who suggested we see it. Wasn't sure what to expect of it but overall was rather enjoyable.

Which is why it won two awards at Sundance.
