Yeah, pretty much all of the pilots are accidental.
GX was indeed much better than GW. Unfortunately the characters weren't sexy enough (and the fireworks too unimpressive) for it to win ground amongst the kids.

I don't think that the Gundam X main char sucked, Garrod Ran was in fact one of my favorite main chars as he wasn't angsty at all but instead rather cheery and straight-forward (except when it came to his feelings for Tifa). He was some fresh air IMO.

Wu Fei Chang. Asides from his little stint of pussyness (I don't deserve to pilot you Shenlong, I'm too weak and a coward), he was the most badass out of all gundam pilots past and present. Also, he easily comanded Wing Zero. Had no problems whatsoever. Everyone else was either going insane or coming out sweating and freaked, while Wu fei came out dry, relaxed, and saying "Wing Zero showed me something interesting." He kicked so much ass. Heero is a close second for jumping out that window with no parachute when he escaped the hospital. And over all, Gundam Wing pilots were the best.

The official name for his first Gundam was the Shenlong, but he always called it the Nataku instead. He later got the Altron Gundam which became the Nataku Gundam in Endless Waltz.Originally posted by: Curium

Well, considering that you get like 2 hits if you write it in google... I'd say the amount of people who think that info is crucial to being a Gundam fan is not too many.
While I do intend to try and watch/read everything Gundam eventually, the UC stuff is at the bottom of my priority list. UC was by far THE WORST Gundam stuff there is. You know, despite the fact that everyone in the owrld seems against him, for reasons I'm not privy too...
I like Shinn the best (except Mwu and Auel, they're just damn cool), I personally think he is a far more realistic character than any other of the SEED people and seems to be a bit more gounded than any of the others.
Other than that, I've only seen Wing (and that is a precious 32 hours of my life I want back).
Sorry to go back to wing but Trowa was my fav. Heavy arms was just a funny gundam that I never really saw repeated closest thing would be "Deakas"(that has to spelt wrong). Trowa just never said anything that wasn't needed and I love characters like that. Same reason Gaara is my fav Naruto character.

No way! Honor or not he's still one of the toughest characters in any Gundam series. Plus he has that stereotypical chinese cool demeanor (If you insist on standing in my way, I will now proceed to ripping you limb from limb and feeding your organs to hamsters). He's great.
