I would have to say Duo, Kira, and Heero cause Duo is just there to have a good time and kill everyone (God of Death?) and that ponytail is awesome, Kira cause now that he has gone through his angst phase in Gundam SEED he is now a badass in Gundam SEED Destiny, and Heero cause he did not value his life at all and piloted a machine that drove most people insane on his first try without losing his mind which takes some pretty good mental focus.

i think he did love relena becuz during the endless waltz movie when she was kidnapped heero said he was going to go save her and then duo said something about him doing anything for the woman he loves, can't remember it clearly been a year since i watched it but it was something like that

favorites have to be Kira, Athrun and Yzak, only seen GS and GSD so can't say much about other gundam series
used 2 hate yzak bcuz he shot down the space shuttle >_<
but then seeing him in ep 6 the way he took down sting and auel was way cool

Ironically, the shuttle scene sealed Yzak as my favorite character.

lol, it is Yzak's awesome hair and I am pissed 24/7 attitude that made him one of my favorite characters.

Honorable Mention: Chibodee Crockett - for piloting (and being) the biggest American stereotype of all time and STILL managing to give God Gundam a run for its money. I salute you and I salute your big, gay surfer-boxer-gunslinger-football-player mech! It's a pity they couldn't fit a cowboy hat over the football helmet.
hmmm, Shiro Armada cause he seems to me the most....real life...kid u see, allthough...I do hope we see more of these kind's of series like the 08th MS. it's like...life in the front line..seems a bit....duno...real life for a MS pilot.
oh, and Duo Maxwell, gotta love DeathScythe....comming out of nowhere, having fun...oh, and not to forget, he call's himself "God of Death" :-)
kira yamato, most unique matured too me. looks like the true leader, "has that divine and holy attitude in gsd i loved, "sorta like jesus".
i felt kira grown alot after GS, but the attitude i like the most is that...in his head he knows he's ignorant and maybe not have a direction. but deep inside he knows that wars is not right, wars is hatred and killing. thats why he stops it, even tho he knows himself getting inbetween fight wont stop it. but he still does it becuase he said, "he can say he cant do anything without doing anything." thats how i believe too, sometimes its not about being able SUCESS to do something, u do it because u gotta do it, It means something to you. Like following his heart instead of what other people ideas are. good "characteristics", i look up to.
I'd go with Athrun,, I really like how his voice acting is done and its interesting to watch how he handles his mixed emotions throughout SEED and Destiny

Man... I love all the characters in SEED - all of them have some sort of emotion at some point (except for Rau Le Kruize(sp?) and Ray, of course since... they're weird.) like real people.
But that's only because I watched it after I watched Gundam Wing and G Gundam. I LOVED G Gundam, but I thought Wing was so-so - there wasn't as much character development of the 5 pilots IMHO. It always felt like they were trying to be deep but not succeeding. Then again, that may be what I get for watching the CN dub and not a fansub, but back then Bittorrent didn't exist yet!
Anyways, I'll have to say I like Cagalli, Lacus, and Meyrin the best. They're all the cutest characters in my book!

First off, Tallgease was made ouf of pure cool. Because it WAS the best mobile suit in all of Wing, in all iterations, 1-3 (especially 3).
I like Kira best not for his piloting skills, but for his ideology. Go guy with the moral highground!
Yeh, Zechs / Miliardo was probably one of my favorite pilots of all times and I really thought that Gundam Wing was more about him and the rest of the OZ soldiers than the actual Gundam pilots. I also really enjoyed Trowa Barton in that series, although I thought he was a little too impressionable to be realistic in some parts. That was a guy with a level head and gritty determination. He also was committed to his partners and the cause and was ready to die for them at any time.
As much as I like Duo's hilarity, Yzak's arrogant yelling, Amuro's realness, Shinn's pissyness, and Nichol's kindness, they all fall down in the face of those two. I don't know whether to pick Zechs or Trowa, especially since its been forever since I've seen Wing (which does NOT suck, but also isn't the best Gundam by any stretch of the imagination)
Only person to possibly rival Trowa or Zechs might be Rey Za Burrell. I just have a thing about the silent cunning pilots who speak only when absolutley necessary, always say something important, and are insanely dedicated. I just hope that Rey turns out to be the evildoer that I so much want him to be.
