Since last Christmas (that's Dec 2003).
A few weeks before I first joined Gotwoot, think it was around the time when early episodes of GitS:SAC were on the site...thats all I remember cos I had been google searching for eps (I was new to anime) and found them here...
3 years or so.
1,5 years now i think
Started it all when i came across Initial D eps
however long Naruto has been out. Started when Naruto was at around ep 20.

That's 2 years.
I use to watch old old Japansese version Dragonball Z episodes on computer in ram format, but iam not sure how old that is. I even remember this format of video called vivo or something like it.
But when i started downloading hardcorely was about 2-3 years ago, using the old p2ps that were around at the time.
I've been a sucker for alot of years prior to finding fansubs, by buying the old vhs tapes. ( over 150 before i stopped buying that format)
"Chrono is our Religion. In the name of the Chrono, the Zeal, the Trigger and Cross, Amen."
About 8 years but I've only been downloading fansubs about a year and a half.
yep, my first fansub download was the 1st episode of DBGT, back when it was only on realplayer
considering that it was back when the frieza or android saga was still being aired, the very concept of actually seeing a japanese ep of GT was THE SHIT
10/4/04 - 8/20/07
Fansubs for about 3-4 years.
About 6 years for me. I remember (back in the day) getting anime from sketchy VHS groups. You'd email them your order, send in $12, and a couple weeks later get a box of 4 tapes of uncertain quality via snail-mail. Surprisingly I never did get ripped off. I still have a box of them somewhere (including all of Hellsing). And today I get free copies of eps a few days after they air in Japan.... Yay internet!
whenever GS or PoT came out (which ever was first) i believe it was like 2 yrs ago?
LaZie made this...a long time ago.

ummm lets see for about hmmm since about 5 months maybe
I'm official.
Two years has it been since i started downloading subs. Saw anime for the first time in Robotech in 97 but it was dubbed and crappy so i didnt get into anime until i rented The Cowboy Bebop movie in 2003 after it i have downloaded many shows. Kenshin was the first anime i downloaded.
Damn I feel old. I've been watching fan subs since the early 80's, so about 25 years now.
I stil have plenty os fan subs on vhs and beta.
Now where my cane?.....
Crow are you kidding or something?
Is fan sub that old?
It sure is. First fan sub I saw was a very poor quality sub of the original "gatchaman" not the corny battle of the planets/g-force, but the real gatchaman. Must have been about 80/81, by a fan sub group from college station texas, later known as corn-pone shorts productions. No kidding. Also saw fan subs of the original pre-robotech macross sent over from friends in the air force stationed in okinawa, fan subed using milatary recording equipment in their off time. Fan subs have been around since vhs became popular and easy to edit, starting in the late 70's. Lots of fan subs were produced by one man sub/editing outfits that had no name. US Manga corps started out as a fan sub group in the 80's, and manga and adv films got their start importing fan subs and unofficial translations. I still have a few of adv's "white box" releases of miyazaki films and other semi-bootleg productions. Of course they wont admit to it now, but if you do a little googling on the subject you might surprised what you find.
I watched vhs rip of the 1993 nba final so i geuss fan subbing isnt so new.
Then you are a true veteran ,i didnt even know anime existed until the Cowboy Bebop movie.....
since its may..... 3.5 months.
For fansubs, since my freshmen year of college, so I guess its about 2 years now.
Dubs though, I watched for some time longer. Samurai Pizza Cats, Dragonball (the first, the good one), and Sailor Moon back when they were on American network television really early in the morning. I guess that was almost 10-12 years ago.
