Is it possible to upload a picture for an avatar? I'm not satisfied with the options.

When it says I need a GIF or JPG, I change the format. And still, I change it to 60 x 60, and still. Is it my computer? Or am I doing something wrong.

And, I don't know how to get an image signature. With the new symbol scripting thing, i'm totally clueless. And, i'm clueless with scripting in the first place.
