This series has my intrest peeked. I want to see were it goes, but am a little weary of the subject matter. Hope fully the story really gets good.

I watched the first ep, and this looks to be a good show. Anyone know how many total eps. there will be? I'm assuming the usual 26.
I dl'd the Mahou version, and didnt get to see AF-F/RQ joint sub. I've heard from here and other places that AF-F/RQ is the sub to keep, so I'll download that when it becomes available.
Well this show is definately like Trigun meets Hellsing. Its interesting but could very easily turn into something unspectacular.
whow epi 2 is nice.
father nightroad made me think of kane from blood omen.
Yeah....too many character similarities to Trigun/Hellsing for me....not one for the archives.
Only watched the 1st ep so far, I can't stand the cheesy part of the reverends personality when he starts acting stupid, the pope and his sister (or whoever it is who looks like she's been completely cut and pasted from Hellsing) both seem pretty obnoxious, but I like the art, and vampires...could be decent but I'd rather have it a little more distanced from Hellsing...
Ok this is the most stupid question in the world but; helsings on my to see list should i watch it before i watch this anime? or would it really not matter
I'm not entirely sure that this is a harcore Hellsing ripoff, this is based off a series of novels; it's also being made into a manga. Anyways you've got to give it more than an episode. At least wait for some form of a plot to reveal itself.
Monkeyman: You definitely do not need to watch Hellsing for this series, maybe you'll enjoy it more if you don't, but you should still watch it as it is a pretty good and short anime.
Oh, and if anyone is interested in reading the manga you can find it at either of the following sites:

epi 3 is out go grab it on animesuki.
wil edit if i have watched it:
EDIT: nah shit episode..
I usually find anime/manga about Christian institutions interesting (Hellsing, Chrono Chrusade), if only for a kind of outsider view of the religion (I understand Christianity is still pretty rare in Japan and considered sort of exotic and bizarre). Not too much of that here, but only three eps so far. The main character reminds me a lot of Mosquiton from Master of Mosquiton, another goofy vampire with little round glasses and long light-blue hair who occasionally takes a super-powerful but insane form.... suspicious.... Although why they'd steal from that show I surely don't know. The OVA was ok, but the actual series itself was crap. As for this series we'll have to see.
Just watched eps 2 and 3. Ep 2 has some pretty good action showing just how great Gunslinger is. Ep 3 finally showed who the girl in the ending is. Side Note the lady on the council reminds me of a character in Growlanser 3.

Ep 3 was okay it gave us more info about the world in Blood. It seems like the vamps has thier own Empire that rule over humans and that the vatican are the only one that can stand against them Intresting...
Its a shame that Gunslinger is a machine, that takes away pretty much his characther development but maybe this anime isnt one of those animes that the charachters develops
Tres is cool. Ep 3 was useful on helping us understand the world that Blood belongs to like Hakeem said. Looks like the Vatican and the Vampires are different. Kind of like when Rome was split into the Western and Byzantine Empire, except the two sides here in the anime are fighting.
This series has nothing to do with Hellsing I would watch Hellsing first just because its a good anime. Note even the dub of Hellsing is very good as they actually went to the trouble of finding british voice actors for a story based in London. The downside is the DVD's are so expensive prepare to give up your first born to buy it at about $120 for 13 episodes and thats in the boxed set.Originally posted by: monkeyman

Back on topic ... So far I've enjoyed this series but I hold to my previous statements its nothing new in a series atleast so far just a rehash of several old series all of which happened to be very good.
It copys somethings from hellsing like Able's power and the church vs the vamps.
But other than that its totaly diffrent..
epi 4 is out.
it's a nice epi but it is weard cuzz they are a bit overpowered.
I wanted to see Tres in Genocide Mode
Ep. 4 was nice, though.
Yea. That woulda been fun. Tres just blasting the crap out of everyone. The next one should be good. I'm interested in that Rouzenkrauz guy. This arc is getting interesting.
I have a feeling Maria is alive and was the one that gave Dietrich info on how to use the Marquis.

Maybe. Maria was neer found after all. Marquis just assumed she was killed by the Terrans of the city. This series isn't half bad. I like it.
