Yeah exactly.
When I first started watching it, I was saying to myself: "is this all there going to do for the next 20 or whatever episodes?" Then I realize from the intro what the show was really about...

Oh yeah, Inuyasha. It combines the shittiest period piece ever with lame, half-ass romance drama and pacing that makes Dragonball Z seem rip-roaring fast. What a piece of shit.
Minus the fanservice and you don't have a show dude...Originally posted by: Aeon
I can't believe people don't like Shura no Toki and Inuyasha. And if anybody mentioned Ikkitousen then shame on them. Minus the fanservice it's a great show.
I don't know WHAT Y has against Inuyasha. Hell, I don't even like it, but I don't think it's terrible. Although it has pokemon-esque episodes.
<@Terra> he told me this, "man actually meeting terra is so fucking big", and he started crying. Then he bought me hot dogs
Inuyasah is best, the greatest rumiko takahashi story ever printed.
the only bad pacing that it has is within the 080-101 episodes, where absaloutly nothing happenes, but after that, we have about 50 episodes of pure ownage (except the annoying ninja demons and specials, but who gives a damn?) and the first 80 episodes are also very well done. basically, it's holding high in my favorite anime and manga stories, manga is even better.
shura no toki and ikktoksen are crap, of course. hit me with a 20 kg sledgehammer and thier plots would still be stupid.
of course, you can't ignore the crapiness which is king of bandits jing, so much good animation, just to end each episode with 'mega zord super sword attack!' half the time watching i was praying that a tree will fall on the charecters and crush them.

Currently Watching: probably a show directed at 9 years old girls, lets be honest.
You know the important distinction between Batman and me? Batman is fictional. In real life, there isn't always an alternative.
I have to agree with you on King of Bandits Jing... i kept waiting and waiting for something to freaking happen, and before i knew it, the series had ended
The fact that even its fans say "there are 10 hour stretches that are complete shit" pretty much sums up how fucking awful Inu Yasha is.
Just like every other long shounen series... just like One Piece had that terrible portion in the Arabasta Arc which nothing happened for the longest time... but you wouldn't know about it... so Y, go and talk about something you actually know about... maybe Comics...
some shounen series' should just know when to stop ~__~
hey i like inuyasha and the other series' i posted (except planetes) theres just a point (really thin line)when it becomes 100% predictable rather than almost predictable (like one piece which i love)
meh its not like all i want are things blowing up, planetes just didnt do crap (until later on, u say)
Y, Inuyasha's 'ten hours of nothing' aren't diffrent than Naruto's bunshin chases and filler arcs, or the aweful hokage/orochimaru endurance battle (Hokage: "bwhhha! the sword is going through my inner organs! i must pull his soul out!" Orochimaru: "ahh! my soul is being taken away, I must move my finger to call in my light saber!"). does it make Naruto a bad anime? (yes).
actually, after reading the Inuyasha manga after what happened in the anime, I'm looking forward to the next chapter much more than i'm looking forward to the next chapter of Naruto, One piece or Bleach.
speaking of one piece, what arc was the Arabasta arc? i'm horrible with names, and the scans quality wasn't too good either when i read it...

Arabasta Arc, is the Vivi and Crocodile one... I'm mostly talking about when they just arive at the desert and they just go around wondering aimlessly... but i think the boring portion, by my standards, started even a little bit earlier.. dont remember much right now...
Ok, so what is the answer here?Originally posted by: Death BOO Z

They're both awful. Naruto at least has episodes with good animation, isn't a fetch-quest, and doesn't tack on a shitty romance plot (yet).
What the fucking shit? I don't watch One Piece so I'm too ignorant to judge Inu Yasha?Just like every other long shounen series... just like One Piece had that terrible portion in the Arabasta Arc which nothing happened for the longest time... but you wouldn't know about it... so Y, go and talk about something you actually know about... maybe Comics...
I hate you, Bud
Well I think I have to step in to defend Inuyasha here.
I actually have enjoyed this show on occasion, although the pacing can be absolutley agonizing and ridiculously slow... Many cliches in some characters, but I still enjoy lots of the character interaction, even some of the silly bits, and find myself liking some of the characters. (Sesshomaru, Miroku, Inuyasha, Naraku)
Its true I don't watch the show often or even keep up with it much at all. But from the 60 or so episodes I have seen I do like it. And its one of the shows that I think Cartoon Network has done a good job with, overall, in airing. Sesshomaru's English VA is awesome in my opinion, the voice of that wolf dude is Ratrap from Beast Wars and Duo Maxwell, and some other voices are good too, as well as some of the musical tracks (which do get redundant)
"I will personally see to it that he never breathes again." Dude, Treize- I mean Sesshomaru is badass as fuck. He single handley makes Inuyasha NOT the worst anime ever, not by a long shot. Hell, I wouldnt even put it below a C grade.
Humans are different from animals. We must die for a reason. Now is the time for us to regulate ourselves and reclaim our dignity. The one who holds endless potential and displays his strength and kindness to the world. Only mankind has God, a power that allows us to go above and beyond what we are now, a God that we call "possibility".
they should have more stories/episodes about rin/sesshomarou *winks* hahaha
the only reason Rin was created was becuase of Kohaku, we do not neem more stories about the little shitgirl.
we need more episodes, period. Inuyasha's 2nd season (if done right) could be the greatest anime of the year.

Inuyasha ain't really what I would call a candidate for greatest anime of the year, to me it seems a little average, and even if it was, whats the likeliness of it being done right? 0% possibility.
What makes Inuyasha shitty is Inuyasha...He's such a fucking ass. Kagome sucks too. The real saving grace to that series is the one movie where you get to see the father "Inu no Taishou" If not for him and Sesshoumaru, I'd have really no interest at all in it. Not to mention the main villian is the biggest fucking coward, he seriously makes the French look lionhearted. Inuyasha gets a C for 2 great characters....but shitty main characters.
Can you expand on shitty?
Are the characters are one-dimensional? Are they are predictable? Are they are poorly drawn?
Personally I would agree with those that say while it's not the best anime ever Inyuasha rises high above other animes. Inyuasha kept its bad guys usually in the gray area of life keeping them from complete evil. The anime had enough moments to keep it above animes like Star Ocean Ex, and most of the additional Pokemon seasons.
Yes, yes, and yes.Originally posted by: Def_X

Parappa the Rapper
Such an amazing series, i thought i was compelled to share it here with you guys so you can bathe on its awesomeness
Gilgamesh is another worthless series. Horrible art and story, and just plain tiring to watch.
