On another note, I'd like to make the destinction between my least favourite anime (Teknoman) and my favourite anime (Tekkaman); short answer, Teknoman sucks, translators butchered the storyline and took out all the extra character development that made Tekkaman so great.

If you think any dub is bad you should watch any episode of the dubbed One Piece it will make you claw your eye's and ears off. They edited out all the blood. Made a cigerette into a lollypop. Changed all the music so that they are rapping about pirates. Then there is the fact they replaced the Marines guns with super soakers and popguns and renamed them the Navy. Oh and we can't forget changing the rice balls into cookies and then after smashing them on the ground editing the image of them being tossed into one of the main characters mouth to have a perfect cookie on top of a pile of mush. Then we have the fact they changed Zoro to Zolo and Luffy D Monkey tover to Loofy. and we can't forget the fact they found the most irritating voice actors on the planet and perfectly matched everyone to someone that acts nothing like the character.

Teknoman was pretty butchered but one piece is a abomination followed closely by the "Tricked out" version of Initial D , which happens to be so bad they included the orignal as the "Classic version" on the DVD's and can only charge $12 each [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img].

i hate pretty much all animes that were ruined by putting them on TV after they've been dubbed, besides DBZ (note Z not GT)

beyblade was stupid from my point of view, u had a spinning top and dragons came out, same as yugio OH GOD I HATED THAT.

Mmm... I'm also from Belgium (I think you are to because of the Dutch thing) but I don't like it when they speak Dutch in anime it makes it sounds so.... wrong. Bud I have to admit that with Medabots it didn't bother me that much

I was really disappointed when I saw Akira the movie. Not because of the animations or anything like that, but The story line was so much better in the manga

im sorry this may be a complete stereotype anime that all otakus will cringe at but i was watching the disney channel (there was nothing better on so shut up before i spray you all with axe until you smell like men) but there was a show called Battle B-Daman and I *gulp* enjoyed it.....

i've seen prolly half the ones mentioned in here and at none of them wanted me to run at the creator and demand the past several hours of my life back (well pilot candidate was a close one)

the only one series that i truly hated (and invoked said reaction) was silent mobius
i only saw the series and not the movies .... but seriously you get to the end of that series and you realise that with the exception o people dying and the main chick getting knocked up absolutely NOTHING was accomplished

Peacemaker Kurogane and Last Exile

Kurogane because nothing happened until the last two episodes, and even then there were some plot points left unfinished.

Last Exile because it just got boring midway through, and I felt they didn't really explain anything about Exile.

Actually I just reacquainted myself with the classics earlier today, by watcing Fist of the North Star and Vampire Hunter D. Not really the best animation, but come, 1986! What the fuck to you expect!? The best fucking computer out was something I can't even remember the name of that was the predecessor to the 386! That shit was all done the old fashion way! And the Dragon Ball bashers... That's old school too, most people (younger in general) don't seem to know that Dragon Ball and in some cases Dragon Ball Z is older than they are. That was good shit at the time, and I still don't mind watching it every now and then.

As for worst anime ever...there's too many to name one, my personal opinion is anything with.
1. Magical Schoolgirls

2. Who am I kidding...anything with schoolgirls is pretty much bound to suck (generally)

3.Cutesy anime

4.Adolescent Dueling anime (Pokemon, digimon, dual master,etc.) Come on!!! don't you have school, or family? Kids being alowed to battle each other over childish dreams with creatures, (biological or mechanical) that can wreak havoc on the world around them!?

5. "The French Stuff" This is the pretty shit you see a preview of and are compelled to watch...several hours later you only find yourself wondering "WTF did I just subject myself to watching?" This is the shit where at the end of the show, and several years later even you still haven't figured out what the hell was going on or what the point of it all was.

This reminds me of when my friend made me watch Digi Charat in French... I can't say that was one of the worst I've watched though since it was still pretty damn funny without understanding what was going on.

back when it first hit america i sorta liked pokemon and DBZ... but after awhile the shit got so repetitive... MY POWER LEVEL IS GREATER THAN YOURS!! and just screaming and screaming for episodes while they power up and everyone comments on it..... god...

I disliked Pilot Candidate as well, but thought it not the worst. If I remeber correctly there were one, maybe two good episodes.

Worst ever = Loveless. No I had no clue what it was about when I downloaded the first 4 episodes. My god. My god. Horrible action! I don't mind the homosexuality in anime (thought Fred Lowe was actually a nice touch in Outlaw Star, and Kyou Kara Maou is sometimes funny in that respect too- although the show itself is lacking-) but this takes it to a new level! Michael Jackson people...

I like to remember Loveless as the name of that play from FF7... not this POS

Why does being on TV ruin anime? Just ignore the TV and watch the fansubs. I hated when they put Kenshin on CN and gave him that Canadian voice. Still Kenshin remains in my top 15 animes.

I do agree that there is so much lost in translation and cut for younger American audiences. I've cringed a couple times at various voice actors for different dubbed shows in America (DBZ, Kenshin, Gundam Seed) and I often laugh out loud at how terrible some of the American VAs are at things like shouting, screaming in pain, or just saying another character's name with a heavy emotional emphasis (Inuyasha).

However, as someone who got into anime BECAUSE of dubbed releases on Cartoon Network (Gundam Wing was the one that really got me going, although I previously enjoyed Sailor Moon -hey, i was a young kid- Pokemon and DBZ, but at a very immature level.... So while its easy to knock dubbed animes after seeing all the fansubs and becoming a bonefied otaku, just remember that these shows have to reach new audiences in some way.

I never really liked .hack, the whole series never really made sense. I loved the whole epic marketing scheme for it by having the anime tie-in to the videogame and have both of those tie-in to the DVD's but the whole series was really nothing else but people with big swords and staffs walking around and spouting vaguely philosophical dialogue to justfy why they were spending all of their time playing MMORPG and not doing anything.
