i guess that our opinions of Inuyasha are diffrent, then... I really like Naraku as the villian, he's got a safe balance between being evil and hateful towards the main charecters, and between practical about achieving his goals. The rest of the cast is the rumiko usual, if you liked ranma 1/2 then you'd like this cast, not much to elaborate.
about Gilgamesh, i quite liked that anime, even though it was really messed up (i need to find an evangelion fanboy and make him watch this anime and explain it to me), the animation was diffrent than usual (in a good way) and the charecters were intresting, and that's without mentionning the violence and the nonexistent morals of everybody...

Personally I would agree with those that say while it's not the best anime ever Inyuasha rises high above other animes. Inyuasha kept its bad guys usually in the gray area of life keeping them from complete evil. The anime had enough moments to keep it above animes like Star Ocean Ex, and most of the additional Pokemon seasons.
InuYasha did get in a slump with the same shit over and over. The biggest gripe I have about this series deals with Naraku... he was so bad-ass but hardly ever took the offensive in a battle. It was just always him getting attacked over and over and surviving.
Hakudoushi and Sesshoumaru ruled that show.

Dragonball in general. In my book, it is just as bad as Pokemon, Bayblade and all the other series intended for 12-year olds.

I dunno, Dragonball wasn't all that bad. It was as you said, intended for 12+ year olds. It seems Beyblade/Pokemon/whatever were intended for much younger audiences.
Dragonball was actually pretty funny, then it got cool near the end.
DragonballZ was damn cool when I watched it (not so much now though).

I honestly count Beyblade, Pokemon and Yugi-Oh (at least American versions) as a different type of anime than Gundam, Eva, etc.
While they all cater towards young audiences in Japan, I see the Pokemonesque shows as being the cutsey Disney cartoons, like Baby Looney Tunes and shit you have 3 year olds watch. Then there are ones that can appeal to all ages, but have elements of violence, inappropriate social situations, darker comedy etc, like the original Looney Tunes, Who Framed Roger Rabbit etc. Finally you have the gory anime and serious shit like Speed Grapher, Eva (sometimes), 100 Stories, Monster etc. which I put parallel with Sealab 2021, Robot Chicken, Beavis & Butthead & South Park.
So, keeping that in mind, can people say if they found certain animes in those kinds of categories to be teh worst? Its easy to say Pokemon or beyblade, but how about the worst adult anime? (should hentai be counted...?) you've ever seen?

I think comparing Eva and Robot Chicken is a bit of a stretch.
Yeah, they're both animated and aimed at adults/teens but their subject matter and effect are completely different. Since there are no American cartoons comparable to anime, I think it's better to parallel mature series like Speed Grapher, Monster, etc with either live action tv shows or movies.

I went though a grueling season watching avenger. *shudders* Music and artwork were nice which decieved me into thinking it was much more than a plot-less black hole.
In general I hate shows that get caught doing the same thing over and over. Inuyasha had an incredible beginning, but in the manga and in the final days of the anime was could never get past certain stock plotlines.
Maybe the story didn't have enough to tell to warrant 167 episodes...

The worst anime ever is Ranma 1/2, i can't believe i watched the entire thing. The idea was interesting in all but the development sucked and the ending was even worst.
