i havent finished the first series for some reason... but i can say this is good news to me...
I did like the first season of Mai Hime, but I'm not sure if it will be good or not.
But, the only way to find out is to watch.
I saw the first couple eps of the first season but I stopped. I would've kept watching if it weren't for the plethora of ugly hoes and shitty storyline. Natsuki was hot though.
You should watch it. The story isn't really good, and it picks up extremely good at the point where you think everything is over halfway into the series. It's filled with "fucked if you do, fucked if you don't scenario." If you like those, you'll probably cream yourself. Just ignore episode 26, they took the pussy way out.Originally posted by: Mut@t@

This second season had BETTER be a PREQUEL. There's no reason whatsoever for a sequel that doesn't reek of "capitalize on the success of season with shit."

Now you will pay for your freedom in the currency of honest toil and human blood."

weaponds and hot Girlz.... what else Do you need???????????
I didn't like the ending for Mai Hime's first season at all
I agree with 2-25. The ending was utter crap. I just hope that the 2nd season picks up a WHOLE lot better.
I've downloaded the entire season 1 and burned it on DVD, but still haven't got the urge to watch it yet. Too many other stuff going on right now....

yea the ending was shit everyone survived.... and the boss was killed way 2 easy
I still don't get how the first season ended. Just what did Miyu do exactly that revived everyone?
Miyu destroyed the stones that contained the victim's "essence", thus returning them. They probably were never really "dead". That's what I gather anyway. And though it's a perfectly logical explanation....*cough*BULLSHIT*cough*

I agree, they all should've stayed dead. That would have made the ending a bit more enjoyable, but no, they just had to make it crap.
here's a trailer for Mai-Otome

The little bit shown looked cool, now if only I understood what was being said =P
I haven't really watched the series but I did manage to see the last two episodes and the whole no dramatic death thing was just garbage. So all in all without really watching the entire series I realized that the ending sucked balls. I hope season two will be better than that. At least some important people need to die cause these kind of animes need strong deaths.
People DO die in the first one. A lot actually.Though admittedly, a lot come back at the end.
I meant like permantely die and never come back. Not pull a Fushigi Yugi and piss everyone off.
i wasn't too thrilled about the way mai-hime ended either.... but you know, if you're gonna kill off characters in a massive grand scale, i'd rather it was done fushigi yuugi style. the way mai-hime did it was eh plus they all came back to life. at least in FY, when dead characters came back, they were still dead.
