Eureka and Renton still live on the Earth except they're just not home, right?
    See Arcness's post above.

Something else I just realized that was kind of odd...Nirvash was a girl?! But it seems to make sense with the was as she/it tended to work better with him around than with just Eureka. Perhaps Nirvash loved Renton too for some unknown reason. theEND definately seemed to care about Anemone as well so it's not to far of a stretch.

Finally acquired enough time to finish the series. It was a long wait since the last released episodes before these, but certainly time worth waiting, made even more evident by the fact I didn't even need to check the previous episode to remember exactly where the story had been left before the pause.

Some parts nearing the end of the story were quite ominous, like complich8 said, end I honestly didn't dare make too many guesses how this would end. It looks like a pretty happy ending, or almost as happy as it could get considering all the damage. Personally, I think the ending was very suitable.

And from now on Renton and Eureka can always blink those forehead lights to each other in the dark... Very nice.

    I've got 3 more questions.

    1. What's the 1st Summer of Love?

    2. How come whenever Eureka and Renton do the Seventh Swell thing Holland always says "No it's not.."

    3. O.o Gonzy was a Corallian?

And I'm pretty sure that's all I need to know. Thanks.

The first Summer of Love was when Eureka and Adrock unleashed an uncontrolled Seven Swell phenomenon in what amounts to the middle of a somewhat populated area. Lots of death, lots of other other negative consequences, including the death of Adrock while stopping it.

I think Holland is very much afraid of what might happen if there's a second instance of the Summer of Love catastrophe. His worst fear is that Renton and Eureka are going to hit another seven swell, lose control of it, and everyone's going to die.

And yeah, Gonzy was. Great revelation there, it was kinda hilarious when he opened his eyes, said goodbye, and they all suddenly realized it.

So for question number two. The thing Renton and Eureka does when they pull the amita drive isn't the SEventh Swell but just a weaker version?

Yeah, now that everyones caught I can finally go about discussing the end of Eureka Seven

Overall I liked the series but some of the revalations in the end came to quickly and without any sort of explanation.

First of all what was up with Dewy having the compac drive embedded in his chest. Seriously what was the point of that. How was he connected to the scurve coral and how would his death some how kill them off.

What the hell was up with the Nirvash's unexplained last minute make over? It really didn't make sense of how it just transformed for no reason? Was it supposed to be some kind of metaphor for Renten finally coming of age?

What happened in the very end. What did Renten acomplish by going to Eureka who was stuck in that wierd plant thing that had something to do with scurve coral.

In the end what did happen did he and Eureka merge with the scurve coral affecting the planets destiny, seriously what was up with the fairy wings the Eureke grew at the last minute. Those never were really justified.

Wow....just wow. Powerfull, entertaining, intense, emotional, and closed well. I dont think I could have asked for more out of an anime. I'm just simply at a loss for words at how awesome the show was.

PS. Ep. 48 was the best.

@LobsterMagnet: Here are my personal opinions about your questions

    1) The Compac drive in his chest was somehow the trigger for the collars around the necks of Anemone and Eureka. While i'm not sure of the details of how it was to work, the overall intent was to either to stop them from becoming new command clusters to replace the one Dewey destroyed or force them to become a command cluster and send a kill yourself signal to all the Scab.

    2) Nirvash, I think, returned to it's original organic form sheding the mechanical components the humans had added on. It was trying to become a new command cluster and thus needed to be in its original organic state to do so.

    3) Renton went to Eureka to keep her from becoming the new command cluster, either so as to not lose her or to stop the Dewey 'virus' thing. In the end he got to her and she did not become the new command cluster (the Nirvash did). The flashing lights were their individual wills, Eureka's was fading as she was becoming the Command Cluster, but Renton's will called to her and she was able to separate herself.

As for the wings...she was a Coralian with a Human form, but it's likely that she couldn't hold a fully human form for so long and started reverting to a more Coralian appearance.
