    Eureka seveN: Psalms of Planets

That's all I could say about the content of this eps...weird.

It made for a good transition of the reunion Renton will be making in the next eps, right before what I assume will be a big battle.

That makes me wonder though, that there is another option in the fate of Renton's sister. We all assume she is either missing or presumed dead, or confirmed dead, but the Gekko-Go crew that knows about it is keeping quiet. Remembering that Talho was recruited from a hospital Holland found in god knows where, so maybe Renton's sister caught herself a case of Despair and is similarly tucked away in a hospital. Just random speculations, its a good possibilty.

Moreover, what the hell is going on with that weird book? I think the title is 'Golden Bower' or at least that's what it looks like to me. Holland reads it, Dewey reads it, and they flash it randomly during the eps. You get the feeling that whatever it's about is something big.

    Eureka seveN: Psalms of Planets

With the appearance of Anemone and theEND this series has gotten so much better.
First 7 episodes were just too goofy and silly for my tastes. Now I am seeing why this show is so talked about.

Humans are different from animals. We must die for a reason. Now is the time for us to regulate ourselves and reclaim our dignity. The one who holds endless potential and displays his strength and kindness to the world. Only mankind has God, a power that allows us to go above and beyond what we are now, a God that we call "possibility".

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome, so good, Renton pwns all even though he's really Kira Yamato in disguise. Is anyone else beginning to think Ray is an evil coniving bitch? Just an observation I had.

This episode certainly was worth waiting for. I'm just wondering how powerful Nirvash will become. If Renton and Eureka can already singlehandedly take care of a large fleet, there isn't anymore much left that could really oppose them.

I have to say I have no idea what Ray wants. She could be evil, or perhaps not. Certainly she wasn't evil when Renton was living in their ship. I'm far from sure of what she was planning in this episode. The preview showed something sinister, but details remain to be seen.

I thought this episode was great. Holland's being immature, Eureka finally going out and looking for Renton on her own, Charles' commentary. The Rainbow Sea was also a beautiful setting for this battle, just wish there was actually more of a battle...

There was one big drawback: Renton Thurston has entered the ranks of "I don't kill enemies, I just disable them from being able to fight." Kira Yamato in disguise for real... Have protagonists who are willing to admit that sometimes killing an enemy is necessary gone out of style in Japan? If I have to watch Renton disarm enemies for 24 straight episodes... How the hell is a LFO unit supposed to navigate the Trapar if its head (where I assume the sensory devices in the unit are) is gone? That's like saying"I'm not going to kill you. I'm just going to blind you while you're riding a great big surfboard thousands of meters above the ground. Good luck." How naive thinking like that is supposed to be the mark of a true hero I have no idea...

Charles: "To show compassion while flying around a battlefield... You're going to die, Renton... You're too soft." Now that man speaks the truth! *

    * truth may not hold up in shoujo anime.

I can only hope that this show doesn't fall into the same crap fest of "A true hero never needs to kill anyone" that has plagued numerous mecha series. That is bullshit. A true hero won't kill unnecessarily, but he will do so when it's the right/best option on the table. Well, we'll just have to wait and see.

Don't get me wrong, I still think this show is pretty awesome. That is just one of the complaints I have with some of the popular mecha anime. I'm glad that Nanashi is getting episodes of this show out again.

-I didn't even know Eureka could ref board. Apparently, she's really good at it too.

-Ray grabbed her stomach before she said that Charles knows what she wants. That motion itself seemed pretty sinister to me. I have no idea at this point what that means, but it has a lot to do with Eureka apparently. Eureka 7's animation is really great because a lot of things are tucked away in tiny animation details, instead of cyptic dialogue here and there. (I also liked the way Talho was messing around with her hair before they moved in to attack, it was a really natural motion, something subtle that you usually don't see.) That's why this is so far one of the greatest series I've ever watched in my decade or so of anime watching.

-The last 26 eps are, if you think about it, all build up. Now we get to the parts of the series where things really get messy. Charles and Ray after...whatever she's after, Dewey and Anemone, the mystery of Renton's sister, and somehow the cause of everything...Adrock Thurston.

Even if Renton is starting to turn really soft, we still can't forget all the weird shit that hasn't been addressed since it first appeared.

After the time Renton launched off the Seven Swell, (what appears to be the polar opposite to whatever the two of them did this time), an expeditionary team went into the space around it, where a Corelian would later form. They were slaughtered by what I can only assume were LFO's using solidified Trappar as weapons.

I can only assume that Renton may be forced back into mortal struggles sooner than he would like.

Also, with an LFO as powerful as the Nirvash, which apparently possesses total dominance over all LFO's, KLF's anything Trappar related (Seven Swell and the new one that even peels off reflection film i.e. Skyfish skin) fighting may not even be necessary. There's an old samurai saying that details among the strongest samurai, a fight's outcome would be determined before it even began, and going through with the fight is really only a waste of one of their lives. With Renton and Eureka both in it, the Nirvash appears to be totally dominant over everything. Why bother killing when you know you have the power to kill anything at anytime?

Yea... I agree... with all what you guys have been saying. certain things I want to point.

1- ANYTHING can happen. Renton not killing anyone might change really fast (as he showed when he was with Charles).
2- What the hell are LFOs anyways? they look alive and well there is a good mystery there.
3- Holland will become a bad guy? I could see that happening (well more is, i hope this happens or something similar to that.)
4- Nirvash is overpowered now, but that doesn't mean anything. first there is the TypeTHEend, then there might be others like it. and it seems that the military is not going to be enemy #1 in the end so... lotsa things can happen!

I think Nirvash, typeZERo was the first LFO they discoverd/made. So it is very strong and its strenght is only matched by that other LFO which that crazy girl piloted. It was called somethingEND.

I think they are alive. The power of the LFO are based on how strong the will of the pilot is. Remember the first episode when seven swell phenomenon happened. Renton didnt know how to activate it. He was just thinking about protecting Eureka. Also that amita drive might be some kind of interface between humans and LFOs.

Kira Yamaro and Renton. A very good observation. Yes, whats happened to the old trend of killing your enemies or the new generation of heros are becoming soft.

@ Ryllharu : Yes, I agree with you totally. This anime is keep on topping my chart of favorite animes. The animation of this show is really smoth and natural. Those little details are well refined.
