    One of my favorite pieces of monologues in all of anime, perhaps all of media, is Alucard's unmitigated disappointment with Anderson as Anderson chooses to become a monster. "To give up your humanity only shows that you are weak." A monster can never kill a monster, only replace them.

    Alucard loved him as a worthy opponent. For Anderson to become a monster is admitting that for all that bravado, all that skill, all those many challenges, he was never as worthy as Alucard thought he was.
