Peculiar Problem while playing Aone Subs

Hi, nice to meet you all.

I have been collecting Aone's Subs since Toriyama's world stopped subbing them (from about episde 50 or so), and since then, I have become very attached to them. I admit, that while I often watch another sub (for the sake of speed), I look foward to your release for archival. I am writing this because I have noticed recently that while playing your subs, my computer's CPU jumps to 100% and consequently, I end up hearing effects and speech before I actually see them. I usually resort to closing the player I am using (usually Windows media Player or Divx player) to fix the problem, but the outcome remains the same.

I compared my computer's performance while playing your subs, dattebayo's subs and even lunar's bleach, and I find that, in general, Aone's subs demand the most out of my computer. This may very well be because of the quality of your subs, which I cannot fault. Another problem may very well be that my computer is just plain crappy (I have a two year old dell inspiron 5100 with 512 mb of ram), but since my computer seems to perform other tasks well, I figure, hey it can't be THAT crappy, you know?

Don't misunderstand - I am not posting this merely to say " Boohoo, your subs wrecked my computer." Rather, I was wondering if someone noticed this as well, and if so, what could be the cause. I would especially like suggestions on anything I can do on MY part to improve the performance of my machine while playing the subs. As I've said, I really like your subs, and it would be a shame to have to abandon it simply becasue my computer can't handle it.

Any advice is appreciated, and keep up the good work.

There is no reason your computer shouldn't run these files at full bitrate and quality. I recommend uninstalling any outdated video codecs you are using and trying to get the newest versions of them. Use a player besides DivX as I seem to recall a certain old version of DivX player having fatal frameskip errors with newer encodes. Failing that, remove all your video codecs and install the Defiler Pak, which should never need to be updated except for ffdshow - which hasn't been updated since October.
