Kabuto theories

Self explanitory. JKabuto seems to be a somewhat insignificant character as Orochimaru's servant. However, through out the manga, he seems to have flashes of power and abilities that surpass almost everyone in the manga. He has crazy eyes (Always a sign of power) and seems to be hiding a great extent of his power. I personally think he may be the true leader of Akatsuki, or at least a member. I would like more development into him, but it would make sense. He's using Orochimaru for knowledge, and biding his time.
This is all conjecture and no flaming should be done for somethjing as simple as theories.

i think kabuto is stronger then he appears to be,
but nowhere near akatsuki level. would be a weird turn though.

about the oro thing, it always seem to me when oró says something like stfu to kabuto. he always seem to be sucking in his pride. as if he's biding his time.

( why he didn't let tsunade kill him , is cause he'd be dead 3...maybe 5 seconds later too )

Kabuto is strong. Not Akatsuki strong. Oro was a member, if Kabuto was that strong, and part of the Akatsuki, he wouldn't act like Oro's bitch.

He may have hidden power, but I doubt he could beat Oro /w his arms.

1. kabuto's eyes turning red didn't mean that he has special eye jutsus like sharingan. it was just for the foreshadowing effect that he's stronger than he seemed during the forest of death.
2. kabuto can't be an akatsuki member because orochimaru would know about it (not like it would be any problem though). kabuto would be on a mission to capture all things related to jutsus and he isn't. instead, he is aiding orochimaru.
3. kabuto is lame so therefore, kabuto turning out to be the akatsuki leader would be lame.

i agree w/ Mut@t@ that if kabuto was part of the akatsuki or even the leader, orochimaru would know. everyone is overestimating him.

its obvious that kabuto will turn on oro at one point in the series..........
he has to......they've hinted at it too many times for it NOT to happen

I don't see that happening any time soon... Kabuto as proved is loyalty many times and could have killed Oro in some occasions if he really intended to do so

And i don't know why everybody's talking about his "hidden" power... he crushed Shizune and was on par with Tsunade ! That's seem pretty powerfull to me

but he is a spy , so there is a chance he could be working for someone else other than oro,

(just wondering, kabuto was saved when he was little by a medic ninja? was he orginally from teh leaf village or another?)

I almost got the impression from some of the dialog in the series and manga, that Kabuto may or may not be human (some of this is the freaky red eye thing). If so, Oro made Kabuto, not found him. Having Oro creating a person with jutsu doesn't seem that farfetched, considering he can jump into another body every three years.

Or was I watching too much FMA at the time...

im pretty sure he was a child from an enemy village and was left behind on the battlefield when they were fighting the leaf village, so the leaf medic guy took him in

Actually while reading through the mangas again, I noticed something Tsunade said. She said in Chapter 164 page 12, " This boy is not an ordinary medical ninja. His senses and strength may exceed even my own in my prime." She has all but conceded Kabuto's superiorty as a ninja. So that means that his abilities are on par with, if not greater than one of the Sannins. Hmm... I also wonder if he has a bloodline limit. He has a lot of power, and I think Orochimaru's aware of it. Kabuto's just the type to sit back and complete his mission with the least death possible. He could have killed Kakashi in the hospital.
Unless of course Kakashi is also equal to or superior to Tsunade. (Side note, all things considered Tsunade seems to be the Sakura of their group. She is formidable yes, bet seems to be the weakest of the sannin.)

Most definetly... but the thing about Tsunade is that she can not be surpassed by anyone in her medical abilities. Kabuto said this himself (When he and Orochimaru first went to Tsunade to make the offer of resurecting her brother and lover (BTW Did anyone figure out how far their relationship was? I mean was she married to him or something or were they boy friend girlfriend?)), although he may have just been bluffing but I'm going to stick with that.

Kabuto is the only character that has been seen so many times in the story without being fully developed. So even if he isn't a super powered maniac he is definetly having something about him hidden. I'm betting they'll use him as a plot twist sooner or later. Just my opinion though

She may be weaker than jiraiya and oro but I belive she is stronger than kakashi. I mean she is one of the 3 legendary and is obviously on Hokage lvl, And kakashi, yes he is strong but he can't beat oro, And was badly defeated by itachi.

about kaubo, I belive he is stronger than he appears to be, he may even be stronger than kakashi.
but his intentions is hard to see, allthough he is loyal to orochimaru it also looks like he would betray him anytime.

Which means that yah, Kabuto is a badass, if he calls fighitng 2 legendary nin
simply "difficult."

I agree with you Unc, if Kabuto has the balls to think something like that and he isn't ignorant (something that should be extremely obvious to all), then he must be able to easily take on one of the Sanin. This is something which is odd since Orochimaru said to Kabuto that he wasn't strong enough to kill him and in such an impudent way that it made it sound like he would be no match what so ever. He also put him at Kakashi's level and Kakashi was shaking in his boots when Orochimaru threatened him.

i hate to break everyone's balls here but kabuto isn't that strong. as stated he is only about as strong as kakashi. if kabuto was indeed stronger, he wouldn't have gotten fucked up by naruto.

Yes, but Naruto posess the mighty main character effect !! He can beat anybody, regardless of things like plausibility and logic [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

So, if a character loses to Naruto, he should not feel ashamed, he should not seek therapy. He should start is own serie.

Kabuto really annoys me, the best part so far involving him was when Naruto obliterated him, even his cocky attitude couldn't save him from Naruto.

Too bad Naruto was basically dead after that, Kabuto needs to die.

jaraiya himself said he was as strong as kakashi, kabuto looks like the type who dosnt fight with 100% likes to see his oppent release all they got so he can see there true fighting capabilities, but he underestimated naruto at that one time an got owned.

Sorry to quote myself, but Tsunade said he is more skilled than she was in her prime. I dont know if he could defeat Orochimaru because he swaps bodies and mantains the strength he had in his prime. But it think its clear that his power excedes that of Kakashi, unless Kakashi can in fact defeat Tsunade. Just my opinion.

hold on a minute. if in fact kabuto's strength did exceed that of kakashi. then why did he run away from him when the village was under attack. also we haven't seen all of kakashi's strength. i think your judging his strength because he was defeated by itachi. send kabuto against itachi and see how long he lasts. yes kabuto is obviously a genius medical nin but kakashi is a genius at ninjitsu. who easily can hold more than his own against kabuto. notice both opponents are worried about facing one another.

blah kabuto is as strong as kakashi PERIOD, kabuto at full strength owns current Naruto, don't count in the kyubi it's an unfair battle and ofcourse Naruto would win with kyubi powers, only thing Naruto has on Kabuto is rasengan nothing else Kabuto will rape Naruto in a one on one fight he can fuck up naruto's nervous system and anything else in his body for that matter it isn't even funny

anyway, i think kabuto is kakashi level. right now it seems to me that everyone is under itachi, including oro since he himself believes so.

now if jiraiya fought orochi, both normal, do you think orochi would win? all three were handicapped in some way but i think orochi would have a really good chance against both of them if he was normal and so were they.

i think his opinion of others is fairly good up to a point, he put kabuto on kakashi level and i think thats fair. all we know about kabuto is that he has been a spy since the day he was taken in by the medical specialist. we dont know why he serves orochi but its gotta be a good reason. orochi has constantly tested or teased kabuto and all of us are wondering why, the manner is quite odd. but then orochi also seems to trust kabuto since he immediatly knew that tsunade was the one who betrayed him. i think orochi is just teasing (in a weird but dangerous manner) kabuto and we are just reading too much into it.

since the red eyes didnt come up in the tsunade fight, and he said he wasnt good with taijutsu, i think the eyes are either a berserk mode, or some other ability that doesnt allow for control even if it increases power. that or it was simply him expressing a very fearsome attitude/threatening jesture, not really a special ability, just him cowering the other ninja.

even if he could surpass tsunade in medical skills she still has the super strength and i definatly think she is far beyond the others. without the blood problem she probably would have crushed kabuto. 1on1 naruto would lose to kabuto, but it was the interaction with others that allowed naruto to win. also you cannot take naruto's kyubi powers out of the equation for any reason, it IS his power and we consider sasukes sharingan his, so why not the kyubi powers for naruto? its his and as much of it as he can use we should consider into any 'stronger then so and so' equation.

the idea of kabuto being in akatsuki is silly, he has been spying for orochi for too long for that to be the case.

how many times do they have to show you guys this? take this for example......
oro says itachi is stronger than him....
itachi and kisame say that both of them combined cant beat jiraiya......
oro was on par with jiraiya and tsunade combined...

if one person being stronger than someone else will always gain the upper hand, then the above scenario would be nothing more than contradiction

its all about the combination of all the skills of a ninja that determine the outcome.....including....
ninjutsu, genjutsu, taijutsu (speed AND power), weapon skills, chakra control/stamina, intellect, luck, determination, teamwork (which also adds WHO the teammates are into the equation)

if you ask me, kakashi is more skilled in combat.....especially with ninjutsu.....while kabuto is more skilled in strategic fighting.....therefore they balance out

Imo, Kabuto carries the "mysterious badguy" card. So you'll never get

I doubt that Kabuto is stronger than Tsunade. If that was the case why didn't Kabuto heal oro's arms.

I like the atasuki theory a lot [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] dunno if it will happen though but there were hints that Kabuto had unusually strong power.

Even tsunaded comented that kabuto might have been better than she was in her prime during their fight.

I think it was said at some point in the series that Kabuto wanted revenge on Konoha for killing a loved one or something. I think he's simply aiding Oro b/c Oro wants to krush Konoha & so does Kabuto.

I think you're misunderstanding, pha. He could probably be stronger than Tsunade, but is clearly not as adept as she is as a medic. Why else would Oro need her?

Kabuto is around Kakashi level, taking out anbu ninjas, getting his nervs confused an only taking a few mins to get his body back in working condition, all of the above is something Kakashi capable off.

Tsunade IS the weakest senin because she's so out of practice and she's past her prime, but she is definitely stronger then Kabuto now(as of chp 224). She said his senses and strength may exceed even her own in her prime but she never said anything about him being stronger then her and absolutely did not said he could beat her. What about summoning? Special medical jutsu? Why do people insist on Kabuto being the hidden dark horse super-mega-powerful-evil-dude-kind-of-guy? Kabuto may have an interesting relationship with Oro but he just simply CAN NOT be on the level of senin and he certainly CAN NOT be an Akatsuki member, although .... he could press information to Akatsuki.

He ISN'T Akatsuki but I do believe he hides some power.

kabuto did summon oro's huge snake , and was still able to put up a good fight for tsunade.

and dont think kakashi would be able to do that. seeing how fast he was exhausted with the zabuza fight.

that's because kabuto took a soldier pill.

Also Kakashi was using his sharingan on top of copying all of zabuzas jutsus. so it's only normal that he would be tired even quicker. but give him a soldier pill and i'm sure both guys even out.

the second time , even after taking the rasengan , and healing himself.
( which took about all his chakra he said. )



( and if a pill doubles ur chakra, it would mean he didnt need one in the first place,since he already did it twice there. like probably the earlier meeting with tsunade , destroying the castle.)

Soldier pill do have side effect, since you are squeezing out extra strength, chakra plus it's a painkiller. Where does the extra strength + chakra come from? Your body of course, which mean you'll be exhausted once the effect wear off. The painkiller will allow you to ignore injury and push one's body over the limit thus if you are not careful you are screw once the effect wear off.

About the summoning, Kabuto need Oro's blood in order to do them (both the giant snake and then the manda), so if Kabuto is fighting alone he couldn't summon them.

Edit: Oh forgot but this came to me, instead of doing the flashy self healing jutsu Kabuto could have just do a replacement jutsu instead. Remember at the beginning of the series Kakashi got hold down by Naruto's kage bunshin and then he just do a replacement? So in my mind right now Kakashi is > Kabuto.

I think Soldier pills do have a negative effect.

They are jusy like performance enhancing drugs in real life.

If you take them you will get more powerful, but you dick will shrink.

Sigh... Ok. I honestly think that in a fight, Kabuto WILL beat Kakashi in a certain situation. Note chapter 89. Kabuto could have taken him out with one of his clones. Also his strategy, sense of perception, and intelect is beyond that of Kakashi. His ability to quickly react to all situations is extremely good. Kakashi's nin and genjutsu's are head and shoulders above Kabotos, but justus arent everything. Otherwise Shikamaru wouldn't be a chuunin.
Also, could it be possible that Kabuto knows or has some sort of connection to Itachi? They are the same age, and although Itachi graduated far faster than anyone else, it seems possible that they would know each other from the ninja acadamy. Pehaps they were in the same cell as genin? (Just pullin stuff outta my ass here.)
Finally, I would like some goddamn character development of the poor boy so all this speculation can stop. I would like some difinitive information. That would be great.

And one quick question. Kakashi, in the aforementioned chapter speaks about his ability as a medical ninja. Then says "My current state isn't enough... and thats the way it is..." What do you suppose he meant by that?

Not to mention Kakashi's Taijustu must be greater then Kabuto. He cleary stated his Taijustu isn't that good, and Kakashi is Gai's Eternal Rival.

I think Kabuto is powerful, but when it comes down to it, having each one of your techniques copied, countered, then used agaisnt you is way to powerful.

a few things...

it's nice to think kabuto is much stronger than he's shown, but if you look at his character so far, he'd be a weak choice for anyone too powerful.. he can hold his own with kakashi, and with enhancements he can hold his own against tsunade (i somehow feel as if tsunade's attendant is around kakashi's level btw)..

even if he can hold his own against tsunade.. he'll never have her boobs..

and in considering the strength of the sannin, everyone keeps saying that all characters are below itachi, but wasn't itachi sort of concerning with having to deal with jiraiya? i've always had the feeling throughout the series that jiraiya was the strongest of the sannin, but the least likely to demonstrate his power too...

but yeah, back to the kabuto deal, more than likely he'll be developed more when/if sasuke heads off to oro.. maybe something funky like oro pitting sasuke as he trains him versus kabuto, and kabuto betraying oro instead of becoming fodder for oro's boytoy errr pupil...

I think everyone's been underestimating Kakashi ever since he got his ass handed to him by Itachi.

Thing about these fights between people like Kabuto and Kakashi, who are roughly on an even footing, is how Kishimoto wants the story to turn out, because there are too many factors determining the outcome of the fight to properly predict an outcome of such a fight,
