Tenjou Tenge

It was just announced yesterday that the awesomely done Manga Tenjo Tenge will be (has been) turned into anime. I believe I read correctly and on their website it starts airing in Japan April 1st. http://www.avexmode.jp/animation/tenten/

I totally agree. I've read this manga and the anime should be pretty awesome. It would only be doing the anime justice by having you guys sub it.

I haven't kept up with our "future projects" list too well, 'cause of work and projects and classes n' such .... so I can't tell ya. Since several projects are ending in various different ways, we're going to be picking up quite a few new ones to fill the void... I think we're slated to have something like 10-14 projects overall, but not sure.

I'm looking forward to the new season, myself. But I can't yet tell ya what we're doing for it, sadly. We do already know what we're doing next season though ...

I looked at the site... it seems like a pretty cool anime... I'm looking foward to whom ever releases it...

I also saw the raw for This Ugly and Beautiful World.... that means that the new season releases are just around the corner

AonE has picked down the raw, they will sub that series.

btw... anyone knows what Kenran Batousai (sp?) is? is just saw a raw of the first episode but i dont know if it is a new anime or something

I just saw the first episode of Tenjou Tenge from anime-station... it seems like a fun action packed anime... there are some cool fights....

i think that people that say that they loved Ikkitousen will find this to be their favorite series...

I liked the series so far... and on the plus side they seem to have some very good voice actors... many of you will recognize them

yup first ep was great, Sagara Sousuke's voice actor from Full Metal Panic is doing one of the charachters voices, can't wait for ep 2

Well, Oh Great! The manga artist is actually a h-manga artist..soo...

not to mention to anyone who has read the manga knows what kind of adult situations are in it.

Saw the first ep....wow talk about out sourcing...I have NEVER seen that many Korean names at the ending credits of an anime EVER.

So far sticking by the manga's storyline, my only complaint is the character design, they are close to Oh Greats! design, but the character faces just don't right to me...

Animation is smooth, overall great.

Yeah the character faces don't seem as deep and detailed. I had the CRAZY idea that Aya's hair was black. I don't know where I got that from...

I also thought her hair was black too!!! maybe it was the m.....a....n...g...a. NO that cant be it or the covers. But for the manga of Tenjou Tenge....anyone have volume 11 yet?

I know of two different Sub group thats doing Tenjou Tenge I have watch one of them and the series itself lives right up to the manga, So I can't wait till AonE brings out the series if they are still doing it.

I don't know whether Bob or Takayanagi are my favorite, but I was a bit disappointed that Bob's name isn't in the opening theme song. Makes me think he won't be around for the entire series. Dang it.

A small question... which person is the main character? Takayanagi or Soichiro? I like Takayanagi more but I'm thinking the story is more based on Soichiro.

My guess is on Soichiro... he's the one that has to get stronger and shit...

I thought that i was going to be the only one that hated him... but it is aparently on purpose since so many of you have expressed the same opinions about him... I think I like him now... I always like characters that everyone hates... let's see how this progresses

I'll wait and see, but I just don't like guys who think that they can always win. That's my problem with him. If he comes more down to earth it'll be better. I mean, all really great characters aren't foolhardy like that. Plus, Takanayagi is the man, and I just don't like him getting shown up by a blond-haired pissant like Soichiro.

fist time ever heard about this anime and it rocks, i checked out the series today and saw three eps so far and i want to see the next eps so badly

Nagi and Aya are obviously the main characters in the manga. too much of the manga is focused around them for them not to be the main characters.

In the beginning yes but later on it begins to focus more on the jyukenbu as a whole.

Souichirou doesn't show up for more than 3 volumes.

The series doesn't revolve around Souichirou and Aya they get more screen time than other characters but it is not their story.

Would you guys consider this anime a mix of volcano high (korean movie) and ikkitosen?

Havent seen Volcano High.... but i did mention a while ago that it reminded me of Ikkitousen... it is hard not to see any relation between them

yea it does look like an animated verson of volcano high, but that movie was kinda boring to me, but the at teh same time it had me intrested in it too

definately an ikkitousen vibe ... especially with the "lets see how nude we can get without actuually showing anything" going on ... but since i liked ikkitousen it works for me

I see someone mentioned watching episode 2 already, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Could someone tell me if it's actually out subbed, and where? I'm guessing possibly on IRC but I haven't had a chance to get on IRC to check and until animeone gets their webpage up it's hard to find out bout there releases if gotwoot and animesuki don't have them listed.

And the fanservice just makes it better.

I think the fanservice is stupid, but the show still seems interesting.

For the Tenjou Tenge theme song, many translations use the phrase "Body Time." However, in one translation (and in my opinion), they write "Party Time." What does everyone think?

i skimmed through the first episode from aone, it looks pretty good.
i was wondering what people meant by censored.
Did you mean that actual footage in the anime is blurred out, scenes of sexual content was taken out of the anime by subbers, or the sexual scenes were in the manga but were never animated?
i dont really like watching blurred images, censorship sucks

why hasn't ep 6 come out yet? :S

the anime isn't censored itself... but the manga to anime transition was.... (manga had lots o' sex / nudity)

I heard somewhere this one got licensed too, that could cause the delay.

it doesnt matter... old news... anyways i think it is not official... i think it just has to do with some mentioning in the credits and animesuki considers it licensed...

this is not a anbu or anime-keep sub so dont worry about it...

this will speed up soon, I'm busy changing places that I live, but in the next week or so I'll get settled in at the new place and be able to do significantly more in general, which should hopefully speed a lot of things up a little bit, including tenten (and hxh, and several other projects that are kind of stalled right now).

Grabbed latest version and watched, fight equences seem to get better and better.

Loved where she was hiding all those blades, that came right out of the blue but what a cool idea. This is really shaping up to be a classic in my opinion.

Shame the fanservice isn't as obvious as in the Manga

also to the person who asked about the translation to the opening, it really really really sounds like Party Time in the mp3, its pretty clear there, u can hear the "PUH" in party a lot clearer there but then again, when you hear japanese people speak english your ear can be fooled

actually... gotwoot's tracker is used by aone usually to distribute licensed anime since scarywater doesnt allow it...

I thought complich8 explained this that it was only listed under a companies credits, but not officially distributed.

either way aone has been known to sub some licensed stuff it's just certain companies have told them directly not to sub their stuff after licensing

also i wanted to put my 2 cents in on the character discussion, i HATE Souchirou, hate him, hate him!, cocky annoying bastard, really, i was soo happy that takayanagi pwned him, but i really dont like the idea of souchirou surpassing takayanagi in such a short time, stuff like that is sorta cheesy to me, also the fact that takayanagi's brother is the strongest character in the series, shows us that the second strongest or the one to surpass him should naturally be his little brother, just my ideas on it anyways, i really hope souchirou doesnt start gettin the goku complex cuz that'd ruin the series for me, if he were to pass takayanagi and then takayanagi far passes him in strength or they become equals, i'd liek it, i just dont a repeat of dbz where everyone was strong but the only one worth two shits was goku because he was the only one to be able to beat the enemies

Souichiro isn't that bad, I don't mind cocky characters all that much. Better than someone like Shinji Ikari.

After getting a little ahead in the manga Souichiro is getting on my better side now. I still like Maya the most ^_^

well, eps 13-14 have been out for awhile, and I gotta say, the series is good, but... this flashback story has got to stop.

It's ridiculous to setup the the characters in the first 9 episodes, then verge off onto this whole Bunshichi, Shin, Mitsoumi storyline.
