I say that Kakashi was an illegitimate child of the Uchiha Clan, and remember how Sasuke never used Sharingan until the one battle? Maybe, Kakashi's half blood Sharingan had kicked in during a battle, in which he received that scar. And that could also be why it never closes.

i say that Dazz is partly right, Kakashi fought the Kyubi and ripped out one of his tails (he had 10, now he has nine) and it transformed into a eye that attacked kakashi's original eye and took it's place.

we do not know if hes that boy on the left, it's not stated in the manga. The picture wasn't even shown in the manga, it was sketched out by kishimoto and used it as a page divider in a manga (japanese). I've seen it before when i was reading it. It hasn't been shown in the story.
Edit: Remember we saw a picture of Naruto with frog, sasuke with snake, sakura with snail. But it's not necessary true, because why would kishimoto forshadow us like that... he might just be drawing it for the fun of it.

Exactly, people pay way too much attention to that picture, and it's espically stupid since we also see Sakura wielding a huge Chinize sword at the same page, and I've never seen anyone speculating about her learning Kenjutsu...

I don't think it's a tradition. There are more and more cases of all male teams, inlcuding for example the fathers of Chouji, Ino and Shikamaru. There are probably many other male teams that were formed AFTER the so-called "tradition" you say was started by Jiraiya, Oro and Tsunade. And we have no way of knowing about the 2nd or 3rd Hokages.
this thread is total bullshit, why try to figure out when it'll probably be explained later in the manga my opinion is that Kakashi probably got it from an uchiha and that Itachi knows everything about how when where and why kakashi has it, it will all fall in place sometime soon

look, no one really thinks (well, at least I assume that no one does) that Kakashi was a part of a two female one male group, it's just that your way of saying it is really annoying.
