Looks like Deidara is going to self-destruct afterall. What interests me the most is how Sasuke is going to escape. I'm thinking Sasuke won't be able to escape. He uses the rest of his chakra to do a Chidori shield or some defensive move to block the impact as much as he can. He barely survives and then Naruto and the gang find him. Sakura heals him.
Or Kishi can just give Sasuke instant transmission.
As for Tobi, he'll probably get hit, but he won't die since he's like immortal.
There absolutely no way Tobi is going to get hit or even injured. I'd think this will the time we find out Tobi is not exactly who he appears to be (not necessarily Obito but that's still a possibility). Tobi is going to save Sasuke and Sasuke is going to be like "who ARE you?!?". Either that or Sasuke finds himself alone wondering how he somehow managed to escape the blast. It will be inferred that Tobi saved him even if Tobi is either nowhere to be found or appears for a few panels, says some hinting words to Sasuke, and mysteriously takes his leave.

Interesting, but it felt stretched.like, pages 7-10 could have been fewer pages and conveyed the same information. Sasuke's method of surviving this is sure to cause plenty of angst. But I think the Tobi saving him theory would be the most interesting, since it would create a new thread to follow once this arc is over.

All this talk of Sasuk getting saved by Tobi got me thinking. There's is one way he would save him, or atleast mildy want to. If it is infact Obito, then i'm guessing he knows Sasuke is his family in one way or another(possibly a distant cousin or uncle)Causing him to want to stay alive and be prepard to fight Itachi. Or simply sympathy as a family member.

So if he has never self destructed before, I am assuming anyway, how does he know how far the blast radius is going to be. I mean he was pretty specific in 10 kim or whatever. And I know that he uses bombs all the time or whatever, but come on! LAME! -dg-
I wonder why Deidara went so far as to have the mouth on his chest stitched up. Maybe it hurt his posture?
Pretty lame chapter, in my opinion: it took forever to come out, and nothing happened which wasn't already assumed earlier. (We all knew he would kamikaze eventually.) Now we have to wait for the next chapter, to see how Sasuke escapes. Think he'll use that "other" strategy he hinted at? Maybe it was a strategy on how to elude explosions, if he couldn't disarm them with chidori?
I suspect his 'other' method may be the same thing Oro told him not to use when he faced Naruto way back at the end of the second post time skip arc.
As to Deidara's explosion range, I would think someone of his skill level knows the effect of his skills, even the one's he has only worked out in theory but not actually tested. He probably knows that with the amount of power he put into the jutsu and the way he set it up it should expand at least 10 km from ground zero based on the physics (or art if you will) of the design.
If there was a hole in your chest that would cause you to explode in a 10 km radius, wouldn't you stitch it up too? :PQuote:

Probably. Because all he did was send a chidori attack through those snake-like things Deidara shot at him. It's funny: Deidara has predicted Sasuke's depleted chakra pool several times now, and Sasuke always seems to have enough for one more chidori. What makes this time any different?Quote:

Well, since the entire Konoha group started searching within a 5 Km radius of where they started, and Sakura caught up with Karin shortly after she left Sasuke, we can assume that they are fighting somewhere within that range. And.....if the explosion covers 10 Km, wouldn't they all get killed, since they could not possibly be any more than 10 Km away (the diameter of the circle)? Or am I reading too much into this?Quote:

I hope the other Akatsuki members don't turn their bodies into their own obsessions like Sasori, Orochimaru and Deidara. It's getting really repetative now.

Don't forget Kazuku and possibly Hidan. Maybe Kishi's trying to make a statement that just a normal body isn't enough to be 'strong' at least not if you don't have something to protect/be a part of. As I think back most of the enemies in the show have been artificially enhanced or altered in some way, with these enhancements genreally being the basis for their skills.
On the good guy side most of them have gotten strong by honing natural talents, with the notable exceptions of Neji, Kakashi, and Naruto.
Let's not forget, Sasuke is so taxed because he was never trying to kill Deidara from the getgo but rather subdue him so he could get information on Itachi. You could say the same thing about Itachi vs Deidara in the flashback but Deidara knew absolutely nothing about Uchiha ninjas at that time.
Not really. Sasori turned his body into a puppet. Orochimaru turned his body into a snake. Deidara turned his body into a bomb. These villains were all obsessed with their attacks/hobbies so much, that they turned themselves into them (which is probably a sign of mental problems). I guess that's the reason we haven't seen any girls in Akatsuki; they're all too grossed out by them.Quote:

OR we will get totally blown off; after the huge explosion, the action will cut to Naruto's group, and Sasuke will reappear a few chapters later in that old cat-lady's house getting a few cuts mended and saying something like: "That was too close....I'll get you Itachi!"
But I hope there will be some kind of Tobi confrontation - Obito or not, he's one of the coolest characters in the manga.
