Sneakers

So is anyone else here really into sneakers? I'm getting more and more into it, but I'm not one of those crazy sneakerheads (yet..) I currently own 16 pairs, they're all Nikes, Dunks, Air Forces (1s, 180s), Jordans, and Air Maxes (1s, 180s.) My favorite pairs are my Nike Dunk low Untold Truth Editions and my Premium CL lows.

So lets talk about sneakers, first pairs, favorite pairs, number in collection, ones you want, upcoming releases, new purchases, and of course PICS! I'll post some soon of my recent Dunks.

BTW a good site for sneakers is pickyourshoes.com but if you have a good eye you can find good deals on good kicks anywhere. Check out hypebeast.com to learn more about the culture and see some INSANE collections.

How good are the Starbury's really? How do they compare to conventional brands that cost many times more?

I use the Starbury's as a walking shoe (like when I'm just going to class or something). I can't tell you what they're like performance wise really because I play basketball in my jordans. They are however a great deal and it's a good shoe.

I used to be all in the "sneaker craze", but now I'd rather conserve money and go for the cheap, decent pair.

I was banned, but I guess I've been unbanned for a while.

Do you have the Marc Jacobs Vans? Those are crazy. I'm probably going to get some new kicks tommorow haven't bought some in a while.

And people think girls own a lot of shoes, lol.

I own 5 pairs total. In total I've probably spent only about $150 on shoes in the past 6 years.
1. My everyday shoes are black Airwalks that I got on sale at Payless.
2. Sandals for the summer - some random brand I forget, but they're so comfortable that I've been wearing them for 3 summers and refuse to retire them even though they're falling apart.
3. Silver high-heeled sandals - these shoes are an invention of pure evil, made to be deathtraps. I've worn them exactly twice, both times when I was in the wedding party for friends that got married.
4. Black dress shoes. For like, job interviews and stuff. I got these back when I was in highschool, I have no idea from where, but I do know they were on sale.
5. Clean room shoes. When I started working in the clean room this year, they require everyone to have a pair of shoes for working there, that only ever stays in the clean room and has never been outside. They also require that these shoes be fairly thick on top so that if you spill acid on your feet, it won't eat through your shoes right away. So I picked these up at Zellers (on sale, hehe) and they're kindof a generic brown running shoe, with blue laces.

I got some DCs, Nikes, K-Swiss, adidas, royals.

I was thinking of getting some new shoes last week, but put it on hold as of other things in need. I usually wear my DCs and royals for everyday, and the adidas and royals for clubbing.

In total i have 3 pairs of shoes...

Newish Nike Trainers(or sneakers)
An older nike pair for when im cutting grass and stuff
and a nice pair of strappy heels that were a pain to find.

I have size 2 feet so finding anything but trainers that fit me is difficult unless i want to go to the kiddie section and buy something with teddybears on it >.>

I was looking at the Wade the day I bought my current pair. Are you talking about the one that's about $130? It felt like very low quality and inferior to the ones beside it. It seemed like the kind of shoe that you would find at Wal-Mart.

Thanks for your opinion, I haven't physically tried on the Wades yet, I just thought they looked hot, but thanks for the forewarning that they might suck total shit. :p

I own one pair of shoes: Size twelve New Balance that look identical to the last ones I bought. They're getting pretty worn out now, and there's paint on them so it's about time to buy some new shoes. I probably won't get around to that for a few more months though. When I do, it'll probably be something cheap very similar to (if not exactly the same as) what I am current wearing.

Could ya spare some change mister?

Stand up for men's rights! Gone are the days of worrying about having to smell and look ugly to be considered a man! Gone are the days of not going shopping for fear of being accused of homosexuality! This is a new day, no, a new millenium, in which men will not be afraid to shower daily (or twice a day) go shopping, and dress nice!!

i buy sneakers, according to the comfort level. I have rebok, k-swiss, sketchers, a few route 66 that i use for cycling and trail riding. A few other no name brands, basically if looks good, feels good and the price is right i am gonna buy it.
