It's from BONES so it might be good... so far i've pretty much liked everything they've put out... FMA and Kurau to name 2

How is it that Bandai already licensed this? Two eps have aired, maybe. I usually have no problem with licensing, but pre-licensing is really stupid.
EDIT: Watched the first eps, even though the plot has been overdone to death, the design in this series was fantastic enough to overshadow that. I'll give it a few more eps and see where they take it, but so far I'm impressed.
Could be good, I'll keep watching.

Nanashi is OK, it could be much better, but when a new sub will come out it would be anyone's guess... no point in asking here
Bandai pre-licensed this series. If you want to know when the next episodes come out, you are best off going to Nanashi's website periodically.
Nanashi does a really good job... until they just stop subbing like they've apparently done now.

Yeah I'm really liking this anime. The ending of episode 11 was good too. I'm liking Anemone ...my type of character [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img].
Just caught up to episode 11... one of the best series this season... Episodes 9, 10, and 11 were very good...
Can't wait for episode 11 since it seems that Renton will take control of Nirvash again and do the same phenomenon he did in the first episodes...
It also seems like this is going to be 50 episodes long so there are still alot of unknowns out there...

what is it about?
"Excessive amount of time has passed since the human beings were driven from the Earth. Looking for a place to live peacefully, they finally found the Land of the Covenant. It was a desolate planet where the surface of the planet was covered by the substance similar to the coral, and there was an unknown ion called Traver in the air. They exploited the earth, and in order to use Traver effectively, they built huge towers. Under the towers, countries were built, and unifying these counties, the United States of the Towers was founded.
Several hundreds years have passed since then. Renton is a boy who lives with his grand father in a Tower Country, Belforest . He has a complaint about his life. He was the son of the Hero, Adrock , who saved the world from the disaster, Summer of Love , at the cost of his life. It became the burden on him. Furthermore, because his grand father is a mechanic, he has no choice but to take over his business.
Only his mental food is Liff which is a sport gliding in the air using Traver . He yearns for Holland who is a charismatic Liff Rider, and he wants to travel around gliding Liff like him believing that a big wave will come to him some day.

Just watched it, another great episode... This series as of now is my favorite of the Spring series... Tons of fun, at we still haven't gotten to the thick of the plot... we are still character developing which is nice in my opinion...
I wonder when the series will make Renton badass, instead of this wimp we see right now, though it's cool the way it is... it's what makes the series great
Yeah, I've seem up to episode 18 and they're doing a really good job with character development . The plot is still moving slowly, but I don't really mind and there's going to be major plot development in episode 19(the preview was way to revealing P). Oh, and I don't recommend watching the raws for the most part(unless you really understand the Japanese language)...I'm finding it really hard to understand certain parts and I'm definitely stopping after 19.
I think this is one of the better series out right now. It took awhile to get going, but it still had enough in the first few eps to hold my interest.
I loved the ep when Renton was getting hazed. Fun stuff.
Now it seems we are getting into the meat of the story. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

Just watched these last 3 episodes...
Compared to the other episodes, they were fairly boring... I hope next couple of episodes are better...
I'm also missing the old OP, it was awesome...I don't really like the new songs
Admittedly, they weren't that great, but there were some good sections of it. Eureka's weird attitude and the question being was she jealous of Renton being with Nirvash or Nirvash being with Renton was pretty good. I'm glad they resolved that because her attitude was starting to get annoying. Not too much else happened other than giving all the unexplained relationships between Renton's whole family and the rest of the characters a couple nudges.
Yeah, Eureka's attitude was a downer... I was really expecting something more deep to be happening to her, other than just plain jelousy... I wanted something to tie together her headaches with the ones that the other girl has (forgot her name)...
But yeah, it's interesting to see that she can't figure out what she is jealous about... Jealous of Renton or Nirvash... I think she's jelous of Renton, her main concern has always been that Nirvash doesn't want be with her any longer, still little by little she'll start warming up her real feelings for Renton, and the jealousy will be directed to the other...

It's good... that's all you need to know...
There's alot of dialogue, but it's not the kind you get bored about... It's not Gundam style dialogues that go on and on and bore you to death until you see a good fight...

Thanx for the update Bud. I recently started watching this anime. Its great. I am amazed that no know really knows about it. Even this thread was buried deep untill you posted in it. I will come back after watching ep 19.
Man, episode 19 was fucked up... I still don't know what the fuck is going on... so many wierd shit happens in this anime...

It also seems that the Gekkoh-Go people had something to do with Renton's sister...
That's what's really starting to irritate me about this series, so of course I can't stop watching. The comments like that. They've hinted at Renton's sister a few times now, and Holland always gets INCREDIBLY serious when she's mentioned. The grandfather implied in the first two eps that she was taken away by Holland, and I assumed that she was dating him at the time or something of that nature, only to be later killed or otherwise missing.
Other things that have been hinted at and are driving me nuts:
-Talho in some military outfit at what I assumed was a hospital when Holland picked her up for the Gekko-Go's pilot.
-The true nature of the LFO's
-Renton's father, the Amita drive and the white haired commander
I just think we are a couple of episodes away to start understanding the majority of what is going on, especially with what has just happened to Eureka... While they try to cure her I'm sure we'll learn more about the nature of what she is, and the nature of the world they live in...
Keep in mind that we aren't even half-way through the series, so they have to keep it a bit interesting by these vague comments... Though they irritate me too...
Was looking around for another anime to watch and decided to DL this one. Bones got my seal of approval after I saw RahXephon.
Yep, you can never go wrong with BONES... They've done well for every genre they've done a series for...
My favorite has to be Kurau Phantom Memory, with FMA and Wolf's Rain being close second.... meh, I'll stop there, I've liked everything they've animated or produced...
The concept for this anime is something very original and fresh. We are still far away from the truth. The anime is 52 episodes long and we are not even half way through. It does have some weird stuff going on since Eureka and Renton entered that Coralian.

I'm pretty sure that person is Renton's sister. They haven't really gone into what her significance to Holland is though. Since when do the mechas in this show bleed? I guess I just didn't notice until now. The end of the episode almost reminded me of Evangelion.
No, this is the first time they have shown LFOs bleeding. Maybe Renton was seeing red. They wanted to show the human side of the LFOs.

Renton owned in the last couple of minutes, hopefully he'll have more outburst like that in the future and annihilate everyone...
I liked how they called it Rider's High. He got so focused on killing them off while being angry at himself for blowing up atHolland even though Holland probably cares about Eureka more than Renton does at this point. That's why he flipped out and was pounding on images of himself for so long. I'm sure that there's some Trapar related reasoning for it, but I'll tell you, if I got angry enough and was in a mech, I'd probably end up doing the same thing on just adrenaline.
Then he saw the arm. (With a ring on it for emotional effect of course) This can't really be the first time he realized the KLF's are pilotted by people? He's taken out a couple dozen himself so far, I always thought he knew.

And the arm with the wedding ring was a nice touch. I predict Renton will lock himself in his room for days like he did in the last town.
And yeah, I can't believe this is the first time he's come to the realization that people are piloting the KLF's... But I do believe this is the first time he has come to the realization that the people piloting are Dads/Mothers, Brothers/Sisters, Husbands/Wives of other people, so I think that's the main thing about he seeing an arm with a wedding ring... Not that he killed someone, but that he killed someone's husband.
It's not that he didn't know they were piloted by humans; he had just never seen the carnage he caused first hand. He might've been able to discredit the fact that he was killing people before because he never saw the corpses of the victims afterwards. He actually sees the result of his actions this time. It doesn't really matter that the guy had a wedding ring on, that's just icing on the cake.

I watched this entire series in two nights on a whim, Well worth it! I like the premise a lot, plus I haven't seen a living mech since Eva, and the a lot of the charachters have enough substance for me to care about them (hate or love). This series really drew me in, I couldn't not watch the next episode though that always seems to happen...I hope they can maintain this level of interest for the whole stretch.
I dont know why but it is beyond reason that not many people are watching this great anime. This is the only anime in 2005 which kept me wanting more.

just started DLing and checking this show out. Only the first 2 episodes, so still just trying to grasp the basic concepts.
Renton's grandfather > all anime grandfathers.
The LFO is a pretty nice looking mecha. LFO designs are pretty to look at, and I like how they adapted skysurfing to gigantic metal battle machines. Nice new edge to sell the merchandise with.
Seriously though, the battles are well fleshed, character designs are all pretty awesome. The animators are obviously very damn good. Visual dropkicks.
If I jump off a cliff with a metal skyboard and believe that the laws of gravity will not pull me down into the unwavering landmass that is the planet I live on and that instead I can ride the waves, with Sky Fish, up into the cloudy heights, will it really happen? Can I believe... with all of my heart.......... that I can really fly? Belief vs. gravity. Hm...
Renton's whining was pretty annoying, but other than that I really like what I see from this show.

That was a powerful eps. Even though it didn't seem like a whole lot happened in this eps, the things that did were really important. I'd say more, but I'll let the other 5 of us that watch it have a chance to see it.
I just started watching this series since a bunch of people rave about it. On ep 7 right now and I give it a thumbs up.
If you get to watch only one series this year, make it Eureka 7. Wait till you catch up, you will love it.

They really make it a point to make Renton seem naive/innocent. Character development is good, but it gets annoying to see him keep fucking up and then crying about it later. That said, this episode definately made up for the stupid dancing in the previous one. The Vodarek people remind me of the Ishbalans in FMA.
The only thing this show really lacks is a badass character. Also, those three little kids need to die. I hope Renton stomps on them with the Nirvash like he did to that other guy.

You're better off if you start downloading them now. Nanashi is great, but a little on the slow side while schools are in session (understandably so). Those torrents will be old by the time it finishes. It is 50 or so, so you're really better off if you get them now, but you can hold off until later at your leisure.Quote:

I like all this build up, with Renton and the Beams forming a bond, lthey will start loving each other like Parents and Son... I can't wait till the Gekko-Go and the Beams fight it out, and see how Renton deals with the situation.
Finally Eureka seveN is getting the recognition that it deserves.

Really nice episode. It been a while since Renton was this happy. Pacing of the story was slow but I liked it.

Only thing I can think of which may be causing you problems - are you putting URL directly into a bittorrent client, or downloading it first via FF/IE ?
If former- could be the problem, if later, not sure what's going wrong - I can host the torrent temporarily if you like, see if it makes difference (since I had no issues with it).

That's just how it airs in some tv stations...
Nanashi removed the clock for the first episodes, but then people complained and whined about the 'blur' in the upper corner, so they decided it wasn't worth it and left the clock in.
If you've ever watched Full Moon wo Sagashite, that was another series I remember having a clock the entire series.
You get used to it, or you ignore it.

You have some serious problems going on. There is no permission to give. You just click on the link and its triggers whatever BitClient you are using. In my case I use BitComet. When the link is triggered the BitComet gives you the choice to download individual or the full torrents.
