How's a complete lack of coherence awesome? Because the art is good and people keep getting disemboweled?
Yep, I have no clue where any of this is going. The story has become so far fetched (even though this is Gantz)

haters gonna hate, i love this chapter. i guess the problem of gantz is that thereīs currently too many plots going on at the same time, which, due to the natural slow pace of the manga, results in a perceived even slower pace.
btw question for experts: which manga takes more effort to create, Gantz or Berserk? Iīm leaning towards Gantz.
Gantz uses 3d models for the base of the characters and monsters, then the mangaka draws over them. Some of them are just 3d models alone, like the spider thing on page 8. Berserk seems to be completely hand drawn, so I'd pick Berserk.
I'd go with berserk for the same reasons, Gantz is filled with CGI and it's often obvious how to tell it apart from the rest while Miura's hand drawn abominations fit much better with the background. That's not to say he never uses it either, some of the more recent chapters seem to have some as well.
Are you kidding me? Miura spends 19 hours a day 7 days a week 3 weeks a month drawing just one fucking chapter. This is a no brainer.

Oh Gantz, y u so crazy
Too many penises and scrotums. :(
Come to think of it, it was the humans who attacked the insect looking things first. In the slums, where they are now. They didnt do anything except crawl on them, being curious. And the two kids arent harmed probably because they didnt do anything. just like every gantz misson from the start of the manga. The humans have always started the fights.
How many chapters has it been since the plot went anywhere?
So how erratic is the release of new chapters in this series anyways?
Anzu is hot.

Gantz.....why are you so insane times four?
Dude... that chapter was... sick... awesome... but sick...
Anzu is still the hottest =P
Dude what da fuck? That was fucked up even by Gantz standards
That'll give me nightmares for a while.
Bloody hell...
I did not see that coming. That was freaky, I'll never look at a cooked chicken the same way again.

I miss when Gantz had a plot... kinda
lol, yeah, a bit of a plot would be welcome.
but im a little surprised about the aliens so casually watching some monsters fighting Kurono and co.. For all the similarities, they seem to not fear these strange monsters at all. I mean, wtf, if that multiply-virus works on human beings, im sure it could harm the aliens as well.
No Anzu this chapter :(
Agreed. Those things are probably a failed experiment of the aliens. It would explain why they are suddenly have this 'reality show'
[Utopia] Gantz c.349: Direct Download | Online Viewing
That was kind of hard to keep up with. I really wonder how this will end...
I really hate going all MFauli on this thread but this shit sucks, i honestly can't enjoy reading this episodic drivel anymore.
The plot progression is leagues worse than Bleach's.
lol
Anyway, itīs kinda dumb that the sword works against these things. None of the guns did, and close combat shouldnt work either since one of them said "he killed him just by touching!!". Oh well. I had thought that the psychic guy who kept murdering aliens would appear and take the monsters out with psychokinesis.
And yes, we REALLY need some plot progression regarding the WHYs and WHATs. The last time we got that was when we saw that crazy Gantz-production hall in Germany, as well as the crazy, ugly guy there. I mean, what is Gantz? We still donīt know that and this whole alien-invasion only made the little sense we had disappear. If Gantz can revive the dead, why donīt the German engineers allow it for this fight? Seriously, what is going on?

Well we all know how this will turn out.
You mean *Tae? I dont know, youre right she does have a good record. But I wouldnt be surprised if they're about to hug and then some giant alien snot-nosed brat accidentally steps on her.
:(
Donīt just bump this topic in the midst of no new chapter!!!1

Pretty positive Gantz-chapter. And I love Nishi being accompanied by the little boy, haha. Hopefully, next chapter marks the start of lots of explanations, considering Nishi is on to some hacking and stuff.

ROFL
Psyke! Sae-chan, you're still fucked!
Haha! Thatīs so mean!
Did not see that coming. Gantz... you big meanie.
On that note... what is teleporting them anyhow?

I call bullshit. So where did these super huge machines come from that the humans are using now? Seems too convenient. Other than that, I like it. Payback-time, four-eyed bitches!
After chapter 355 I think Im just going to stop reading for a year and read it all at once, this pace is so boring.
The chapter is titled ... Deux Ex Machina. What did you think was going to happen.
Funny, the giants are now the small ants to be crushed on. I see what you did there Gantz.

Is something supposed to be happening on that last page or just part of the fightīs start?
Anyway, sloooow. But at least that new fight makes kinda sense, in that Kurono wants to prove heīs not just some clone.
[Utopia] Gantz c.355: MediaFire | MultiUpload | Online Viewing
Worst chapter of any manga in a long time. Couldnīt see shit of what was happening AND hardly anything happens, anyway.

1.) We REALLY need an anime-version of all of that, because the battle is extremely hard to follow
2.) The mangaka must have been specially horny while drawing this chapter. Look at those Reika-panels, lol
Anyway, I donīt find this fight interesting/exciting. I understand what kind of scene the author is trying to create, but it feels too drawn out, too predictable. Should have been shorter and more dramatic, for maximum impact.

Tits... that is all.
I am thoroughly convinced this manga is going nowhere.
Weren't you gonna stop reading it at 355?
So wait... that's it? We don't even get to watch her die?
Itīs extra weird, because she doesnīt seem to have any visible wounds. Youīd think that if such a big monster killed her, sheīd show some serious open fractures and gruesome flesh wounds. Tbh, I expected her to open her eyes at some point in this chapter, because of the fine state of her body.
Though itīs not like sheīs really dead, anyway. Even if Gantz wonīt ever work again, I could see some other bs method being used on her.

Yeah, Ive got no idea whats going on in the latter half of this chapter. Is Kurono #2 controlling that giant robot thatīs wrecking the alienīs city? And I guess itīs about to become a giant robots vs giant robots battle, eh?
Also, was it previously confirmed that Gantz would never again be able to revive dead people? Because otherwise, Iīd expect Kurono #1 to be more hopeful, more motivated to get her back to life.

Can someone explain the whole situation surrounding Gantz? What I mean: Why is it that we never got a continuation of the anime? Is the manga not that popular? Iīm asking, because chapters like these not only would be more fun to watch in motion, they also actually *look* as if theyīre taking straight from an anime-movie, then black-and-white-nd afterwards.
As for the chapter, donīt get what Nishi means with remore-control. He teleported himself to the battlefield, didnt he?
[Utopia] Gantz c.360: SendSpace | MediaFire | Online Viewing
Ok enough, dropped.
Guess i'll read it all once it's done.
Of all things, this chapter (which was decent enough) made you drop it?
It's pretty convenient that the psychic guy never tried removing the bomb before... although wouldn't that fuck his skull up pretty badly?
The problem of the Gantz-manga has always been that itīs trying to be a "movie that needs to be read". If you took 100 or 200 chapters of Gantz, itīd be a great 2 hour movie. But having to wait for a single chapter for at least two weeks and then getting to read what basically results in two minutes of in-plot events is what makes it frustrating to follow.
Most other manga -take standard stuff like Naruto or One Piece- are less "atmospheric", but instead are packed with action and events. A single page can contain a whole conversation, whereas Gantz spreads only part of some talk over a whole chapter. Contrastingly, you will only see like one or two big, text-less spreads in a Naruto chapter, and only for truly important scenes, whereas seemingly every single page in a Gantz-chapter is 1-3 big panels, having one speech bubble and thatīs it.
I still like this story, but itīd be nice if a) the pace got a bit quicker, or b) they finally continued the anime.
Though, the worst part about the slow pace of Gantz is that itīs still totally unclear in which direction the story is progressing. I mean, seriously, did I miss something or isnīt that whole story right now just a result from the random appearance of those aliens on earth, then Kurono and the others starting to fight back, and so on, and so on? There hasnīt been any overarching plot reveal ever since that weird chapter that show some Gantz-factory in Germany. And at this point I kinda doubt that itīll be of any importance.

LOL, are you freaking kidding me?! That scene with the men gathered in a room felt like we were about to get some real plot progression. And then they get killed before anythingīs explained, haha.
I reeeally demand an explanation for that one guyīs enormous psi-powers. Seeing how heīs still alive after all that use of mass destruction, the downside of those powers cannot be so bad.

"Next issue: Will Tae be okay?"
Well, if she dies, too, then pretty much well over half of the plot for the last year has been pointless. I donīt even get why the telekinesis-boy did so suddenly. All these chapters showing him wreak havoc and then ... gone.

Wow, why is Keiīs dad such an asshole?! And Nishiīs dad is Keanu Reeves, nice.
Well, seems like the plot is actually progressing. Sloooowly. But progressing.

Chapter of "nothing happens, nothing at all"
:/
worst chapter ever.
Did Nishi die? :/
I'm pretty sure he did, they had him do the "cradle up into a ball and cry for your mom" move... usually good indicator that person is a goner.
One thing that confused me. Aren't they in space in an open vehicle? Lack of oxygen, atomsphere burning them on entry... I'm going to be sad if this was all one huge dream.

I really shouldn't be surprised by now. Gantz always been kind of extreme like that. I expected a all out battle in this chapter.
The true villain appears ... Hitler!
Shiet just got real.
I love the Gantz-manga, despite dragging on for waaay too long. But ... this chapter was shit. Absolute shit.
WHY are they all freaking out? Some alien tells them "there is no god" and "there is no deeper meaning to your existence".
WELL DUH!
The first statement should only worry you if youīre a religious zealot. Most people in Gantz donīt make the impression of being firm believers, so ... whatever. The second statement, well, I mean, thereīs two ways to read that: Either you touch into religions again -which doesnīt make much sense here-, or youīre of the believe that your life will make sense within the context of your life in society. In which case you will have given meaning to your life by yourself.
Either way, it doesnīt make sense to freak over a random alien telling you "you suck".
[Utopia] Gantz c.371: SendSpace | Online Viewing
OMG, ITS BETHOVEN! WEīRE ALL DAMNED!
But seriously, I love this. Looking forward to how Kurono and Co. will try to disprove these aliensī statements. Always wanted a good story presenting the "humans are nothing but biological machines"-angle. However, the aliens could have "proven" their views more effectively if they hadnīt just killed them, but rebuilt them again instantly. Maybe even repeating the whole process several times. That would have underlined the "humans are mere things"-saying.
Okay wait, this manga has been going on way too long and I've lost track of who everyone has fallen in love or slept with. Didn't that girl ... but her ... screw it.
Mother-fawking Beethoven!
[Utopia] Gantz c.372: SendSpace | Online Viewing
Well, I call bullshit.
The "everyone will be reborn"-thing should work as consolation, but for me, it doesnīt. Ignoring the unnecessary "Reikaīs going to be Kuronoīs mom, who he had been fucking in his previous life": If you cannot REMEMBER anything about your past lifes, it is worthless. So what if your "soul" is immortal? You gain zero from that circumstance, because to you, you cease existing every time your current body dies.
Kinda annoying how the other characters appeared to accept this as some kind of "oh well, thatīs nice, at least, isnīt it".
